Welcome Liam

This kid goes alright in the highlight packages (most do) and I like the attitude (one club). A quality midfielder who will create pressure on the incumbents.

Well done to SOS and the team on chasing another quality mid this year.
A gutsy move to trade 2019 1st rounders but I like it.

If we finish 4th (2034) last next year and crows finish 4th (1112) then the trade nets out with Pick 19 (932). I suspect we rank Liam better then 19 this year and don’t think Adelaide will finish as high as 4th.
The other point is we may be more willing to trade a lower 2019 1st rd pick next year and SOS may want that freedom.

This stands out to me:

Stocker’s ability to rest deep in the forward-line and hit the scoreboard was also particularly notable in Round 3 of the TAC Cup, drawing comparisons to Richmond champion Dustin Martin as a result. He also achieved a massive 85cm running vertical jump at pre-season testing, which is why he can play effectively up forward.

Can go FWD and be a presence, could rotate with Cripps a bit giving each other a chop out! I was very excited when I found out we had an extra pick.

Heard the Hawks were thinking of moving up to get him aswell, Tigers were very keen.

Great move by SOS and I reckon gives us motivation to win even more and for Crows to lose hahah

I'd be pretty stoked with that selection regardless of where it was. You don't find too many guys with his character, size and standout skills (such as being good off either foot and capable of playing forward) too often.

Stocker’s three-vote performances included:
  • 19 disposals, nine tackles and five clearances in a 45-point win against the Northern Knights at SkyBus Stadium in Round 1;
  • 30 disposals, 10 clearances and six inside-50s in a 22-point win against the Eastern Ranges in Round 9;
  • 20 disposals, seven tackles, six clearances and one goal in a three-point win against the Oakleigh Chargers at Warrawee Park in Round 10; and
  • 35 disposals, 12 inside-50s, nine clearances and one goal in an eight-point win against the Bendigo Pioneers in Round 13.
Stocker joins the likes of Jack Higgins (2017 – Oakleigh Chargers), Hugh McCluggage (2016 – GWV Rebels) and Clayton Oliver (2015 – Murray Bushrangers) as recent winners of the Morrish Medal.
Looks like the young fella loves a tackle with those numbers something we've been lacking of late ..
Still shocked to be sitting here .
