Love this bloke.

Really excited about what he can develop into. Certainly has the hardness and footskills to become an inside mid for us.

Also happy for him to become a Luke Hodge type for our backline.

It's nice to have someone out there who can put the hurt on opposition players and make them think twice.

Chris Yarran was my favourite player back 10 years ago. I have my jumper with 13 on it still. Jed Lamb was pretty good. Liam Stocker is doing the number very proud and putting together a breakout season. And yes thank you SOS ! ( I don’t think any other list manager in the land could have pulled that deal off )

Great kicking skills and knows how to lay a tackle. Thought we might’ve thrown Stocker in the midfield in the second half when we were getting smacked around at the centre clearances.

We need two of him, one in the backline and one in the midfield.

Don't move him from a back pocket.

Having him in a back pocket allows a player like Saad do do what he does best.

Go out and draft onballers if we need them. Let players good at a position just master their craft there.

Give him the number 6. Simmo retiring left a gaping hole in the team, but Stocker is starting to fill it in spades. Different but the same.

I reckon the rumours of his lack of popularity were true. He looked arrogant, entitled, even a bit of a sook. The lack of celebration around his first goal was telling.

That's all changed now. When you play like Stocker does, you give your teammates no choice but to love and respect you. First one to fly the flag and get stuck into the opposition, first one to help his teammates up when they're down.

The kid is something else. He gets it.

How far back does this love affair with our number 13's go?
The Shark?

I'd be happy to keep him as a Backman for the time being. Adds real resolve and C*NT to the backline we were missing. Even his 'accidental' spoil to the head early in the game showed his intent and the rest of the side we are hear to battle.

No issue with him cutting his teeth as a Backman and eventually going into the middle after 40-50 games.

FFS. Stone Age. I do not even know who he is.

He played a few games for us in the early 70's, don't think that he would've played 50 but the name always stood out to me.

Edit. 32 games for 7 goals, 1972-1976

Looked up the number 13's of recent generations to find where Pascoe fitted in.

Just on stocker being a ‘ different cat ‘ I think growing up in Beijing at an early age and living in a completely different mind blowing culture and experiencing all things China would be
profound. It did for me as I lived there as an adult same time as him. A very unique experience. Absolutely love him to bits . Can’t wait to see him against the cats. Hard , tough , composed and willing ..

If those in charge didn't just look at the stats he should be a big show for a rising star nod this week.

Rowell or McInerney would be ahead of him for a nomination this week.

But hope he gets his before the end of the year.

Yes agree there’ll be opportunities in the next few years, he needs to develop better aerobic capacity to be able to cope with demands and pressure of the midfield.
