It's pretty amusing that I'm being "conservative" and only tipping three goals

I know it's all very romantic - but his shot where he hit the post, Scarlett wasn't on him.Well considering in a quarter and a bit he had 3 shots on goal resulting in 1.1 on Scarlett everyone is getting a bit keen hehe.

Stop protecting Scarlett. He is overrated just like the rest of your team.I know it's all very romantic - but his shot where he hit the post, Scarlett wasn't on him.![]()
Tuff time for Taylor with the passing of his grandpa on Tuesday and will be home for the funeral on Monday. His grandpa wanted so much to watch his first game but it was not meant to be . Strong character and deication to his Pa will allow him to push on as that is what he would have wanted and I am sure he will dedicate the game to him. Support from Broken Hill express their condolences and wish you well !

5 minutes with Walker

How has the pre-season been?
“You go into the pre-season knowing what to expect but it’s still mentally and physically tough. It has probably been more enjoyable this year. Especially now with all the young players we have here it has made it more enjoyable. The culture at the club is really good at the moment. It almost feels like because of the young group we have here it’s like playing in an under 18’s side.”
Have you learnt any new things this pre-season?
“I’ve learnt a fair bit from the mental side of things. How much further you can push yourself. Especially with all the structures that we are going through I’ve had to learn all of those. I’ve matured in certain areas as well particularly my strength and my fitness and I’ve probably matured as a person as well.”
Your first game against Geelong, how did it feel?
“It was pretty surreal. Growing up as a kid I always wanted to play AFL and being able to play for the club you always supported has made it even more surreal. I look back on it as a learning curve and hopefully fingers crossed I can get a few games during the season this year.”
Are you happy with the progress you made in the NAB competition?
“Yeah definitely I spoke with David Noble and he said he was happy with the progress I have made from the game against Geelong to the last game against Sydney. Things like my defensive pressure and getting up the field. I think that when it’s in the back of your mind and the coach is always getting onto you then you’re just always looking to improve on it.”
How beneficial was playing a whole year with Norwood last year?
“As Craigy said last year I probably wasn’t mature enough to be able to get an AFL game last year. Now I look back on it, it was a good development year for myself and I’m just looking forward to if I get a game this year just trying to perform.”
How has it been having David Noble working with the forward group this year?
“Last year it was pretty structured. Nobes has brought a fair few different philosophies to the forward line this year. He’s just trying to make it enjoyable and maybe getting us to show a bit of flair. Having Trent Hentschel back is just a story in itself to see a guy come back from a bad injury and rehab that was so gruelling. Hopefully this year I get to play alongside him, it would be pretty awesome for myself. I just hope for Trent that he can play some good footy this year and help out the club this year.”
What other goals have you set yourself for 2009?
“The thing for me is my consistency. That’s what I’m going to set myself every year is to play consistent footy. As I said hopefully try and get half a dozen or a dozen games for the club and try and cement my spot with the club.”

Sounds very mature for a 2nd year player, especially for a country boy with a mullet historyI love these little '5 minutes with...' articles and Taylor's is no exception
What stands out to me is that he says they've been asked to show a bit of flair and also, how he speaks so highly of Hentschel. That's great to see from a second year player, I really admire that.

he'll get more goals than Ken Farmersbest SANFL gameWill break the record of most goals on debut with 15
