Re: Taylor Walker

jeez big call, and u finished in 2005, i finished the same year and i know u are doing something to do with human movement or health sciences as u know alan obst from uni and so do i so u mustve got alright grades, still surprised you think its a joke though!
yer yer, good old human movement.

anyway, i dont disagree with year 12 being a great stepping stone from childhood to manhood and being able to develop all those necessary skills required to live in modern society.

HOWEVER, i disagree with the actual process of grading your talents/abilities/effort.

And also a lot of the schools can be self serving. When there is a crap student, sometimes the schools focus is 'oh how does this fit in with our image' as opposed to 'how the hell do we help this kid get to where he needs to be'.

Just saying, year 12 isn't for everyone, and PLENTY of successful people never opened a year 12 textbook.

What I think sucks is the scaling system they have.

Re: Taylor Walker

Taylor will wear 13 or 15 . He landed in Adelaide on Monday with his Mum and will train on Monday 12 th. He wants 12 months to settle in and focus on his football before making any committment regarding what career he is to pursue. You tell me how many kids that age no what they want to do let alone having being drafted to an AFL team ! He is so detemined to do well in his first season

Re: Taylor Walker

Thanks for that very exclusive info Tails14 from Broken Hill who goes for Adelaide. ;)

Re: Taylor Walker

Thanks Vic Crow...... it is an exciting time for the crows and taylor and with a lot of expectations on him I think he will surprise a few people with his attitude and football ability...particularly his kicking on either leg will add a new dimension to the forward line if and when he gets a crack at it !

Re: Taylor Walker

Absolutely. In other threads I've mentioned how impressed I was with his kicking off both legs at the Championships. First time I saw him was against QLD down at Geelong on that dreadful day and his first kick of the day was a very good one on his left (could've used his right if he really wanted) so I was thinking he was a lefty, until he used his right most times after that. :)

You must be pretty close to the scene though to be from Broken Hill and have all of that info. Are you one of his mates or something? It is much appreciated anyway.
