This is hopefully the new era of Blues with more solid players who just go out and get the job done each week, without having to be the star.
Florent
Hewett
Newman
Hayward (all 4 have something in common)

To go with guys like
Hollands
Cowan

And I reckon a few others will turn into that type like
Carroll
Lord
Evans

Ollie is a really good get. He has 180 games under his belt. Only 27 years old when next season begins. Durable - played 130 odd games in a row before he was dropped by Cox this year. Finished top 10 in our BnF 5 consecutive years until Cox took over this year and he was left without a role. Quick. Agile. Pretty good ball user by hand and by foot. I remember reading he was one of the best for ground ball gets in the comp. Seasoned. Mature (from the day we drafted him).

I think Ollie fell out of favour partly because he does not have a standout trait or clear best position. He's solid B grader. He's not a star but nor is he merely a role player either. With realistic expectations, I'm confident you'll be happy with him and you'll get a lot of good games out of him.

Like Hewy, Newy and Wilba, Ollie comes from an era when we knew how to draft. I miss them all. You have taken all our players that are most fondly remembered and missed by Swans fans. (Dawson and Mitchell are not remembered that fondly, despite being excellent players. Probably the other couple that are remembered fondly are Mummy and Nank.) May they all finish top 10 in your BnF for years to come.

Enjoy Charlie - when he is on he is a joy to watch
