Tim is averaging 30 disposals, 7 clearances and 7 tackles per game — all career bests.
I'm not sure how these media muppets equate "career best year" with "struggling to have an impact"...

Get your hand off it, Daniel.
Crazy coaches know nothing giving him votes in the first two games as well

Clunky forward line being too tall doesn’t suit dirty ball into f50 , remember 2017 we had a mosquito fleet and were famed for getting it in any which way , talls won’t like it like that , no surprise when we went smaller with cumbo and Clarke we looked dangerous ,,,I’m sure our chiefs are t stupid and will work it out

Lynch when not confident has abad habit of player behind the defender. If the oppo team stacks the defence we should be controlling the midfield. But we aren't doing that as much as we should.

Prestia has not been the same since Taranto & Hopper came into the midfield. you can see why Giants put Taranto on the half-forward line. they all can't play in the midfield at once imo.

I still think he will be a good pick-up but he needs play another position, imo Hopper has been more effective them him.

He can't kick. Other than his goal, his most effective disposal today was a 40m kick that he shinned and spun every which was that a drop punt shouldn't that fortunately landed right Bolton.

But not only that, he had a couple handballs today that missed their target by 2-3m. Deplorable stuff. GWS probably laughing all the way to the bank.

2 first rd picks for a player who can't kick come on we got our pants pulled down let's not beat around the bush yeah wins clearances, but kicking is suspect.

I'm tossing and turning on this guy. Christ!

He could be quietly shite like Hopper but he is actively shite with his shocking disposal and turnovers. His highlights packaged looked amazing. I'm hopeful he'll turn it around, but christ, I may actually be able to kick a Sherrin better than him*

* I'm definitely not

He’s got everything a midfielder could want except footskills, which just so happens to be the most important skill

It's like some of you blokes had literally never seen him play before, apparently including the games where we played GWS.

What he's done for us so far is exactly what he has done his whole career and exactly what we recruited him to do.

Get the ball 25+ times a game and get rid of it quickly (precisely in line with our 'territory first' game plan), win a dozen contested balls and half a dozen clearances, lay half a dozen tackles, kick the odd goal and spend 70% of the game on the ball getting to every single contest with a sprint left in his tank.

All through the premiership years we carried a slew of inside mids with questionable kicking skills on a good day. When you really break it down he's no different in terms of effectiveness or hurt back the other way and he's arguably got an edge in a couple of key areas over any of our premiership mids.

As long as he doesn't lose his run he'll be a key Tiger for many years to come and a very valuable acquisition.

As per Ole mate Rayzor ⬆️ Taranto has never been and wore ball user and his ball
Use goes to shit quickly when gassed . Everyone needs to understand he is playing as a genuine mid which he hasn’t been conditioned for , his conditioning is that of a first year drafted such is the shitness of GWS.
It is also a timely reminder of just how good of a player Cotchin has been to play the battering ram role for so long often well under sized .

He’s very important to how we play at the end of the day, 11 touches in the second quarter helped set up our blitz

Solid post this

I hope he gets better AND to be fair, Prestia and Hopper have been just as bad (if not worse). Those two just don't have the howlers that Trarnto does.

The entire midfield group has been super disappointing this year.
