How is his pace ? hopefully pretty rapid
 
Has two two things we desperately need: run & foot skills.

Apparently he’s really quick according to a mate who played vfl with him.

Usually a bit of a red flag when players leave successful clubs like the Swans, but by reports they wanted him to stay.

Don’t whinge about 4 years. No one decent is coming to us on a 1-2 year contract.

Pushed out by some quality players in his position in a team that just played in a GF.

Fills needs for us and improves the list.

Young and in the right age bracket.

Been in a quality development program in that time too.
 
Unfortunately, living in Canberra I see a fair bit of the Swans, and from what I have seen he is a very good player who because of the depth is underutilized at the Swans. He is speedy and a very good kick, especially on the run, and if we can pick him up for a pick in the 30's we would be stupid not too, he could be a real bargain.

Sydney are pretty switched on with the drafting/trading bit, they wouldn't be allowing him to explore other options if they thought he was worth holding on to. We're in that period of adding more genuine talent to the list, not other teams also-rans, something we seem to have made a habit of. I'd be fleeting in interest.

Well reportedly Swans don’t want to lose him and have a contract in front of him. They also didn’t want to lose Dawson, who admittedly showed a lot more at AFL level then Stephens, but shows they can lose decent players.
