Not much appetite for this it seems. Would love to win this trophy. I was 18 years old the last time we did :'(
We should give it a proper run. Have shown against city and Chelsea when we have a strong XI we can mix it with the best. Our problem is doing it enough over 38 games so the cup should be our focus

Well that was embarrassing.

Dodgy penalty call, Zabaleta could have quite easily stayed on his feet.

Ogbonna is showing he's not good enough to be a starting center back IMO.

What'd he say?
something like we were too tentative and lacking confidence. along those lines.

never understood managers saying that about your opponents BEFORE you play them. hope 5 wasn't tentative enough.

Of maybe don't rest your best players Slaven. Fans will be pissed, there was no need to rest any West Ham are safe from a relegation fight and aren't troubling the European places this season

Translation: 4-0 for City, Payet on the bench, West Ham flowing in PL, it's time to return home @dimpayet17 #TeamOM

Definitely looks like he's off soon.
Looks like he's unliked it since the news broke.

I don't know their best XI inside out. Noble came off the bench. But Reid started. Antonio & Lanzini started. Feghouli who started against United played.
I never know what the starting WH 11 is anymore. They don't play anything like they were last season, that's all I know. I was wrong to assume it was a weakened side I guess

Couldn't happen to a nicer set of fans. And I can't stand it when adults swear in front of kids. No need for it. I suppose it's a working class sport though so have to excuse it

they put out a pretty strong side still

adrian, nordtveit, ogbonna, reid, cresswell, fernandes, obiang, antonio, lanzini, feghouli, carroll. they had a great chance to score after yaya's pen but feghouli completely scuffed it under little pressure.

west ham were terrible though, completely bitched in the middle of the park, while the hoof it to carroll/antonio strat was pretty easily combated by otamendi and sagna in particular. sterling absolutely destroyed his side of the pitch, and west ham at times were putting 3 on him. west ham simply couldnt keep up with the movement and passing.

Gotta love our next opponents being played into form, cheers Wet Spam. Now thoroughly expecting to lose 1-0 to Leicester tonight thanks to a jammy goal

in fairness we'd won 4 of the last 5 (now 5 of 6) and only dropped the annual anfield game.

hopefully we decide not to kick the ball right at joelenburg, whichever one plays.

Something that I mentioned at the start of the season, Upton Park was one of the smaller pitches going around, so it was a lot easier for the midfielder's to compress and shield the back four.

Now they seem to be stuck in no man's land, not wanting to press but sitting too deep and allowing the opposing playmaker to dictate play. It's been a problem all season.

Right Back has been a problem area for us all season, so not a surprise that we played Sterling back into form....

Buddy, you can take that 1-0 win thanks to freaking Kevin (seriously, freakin' Mirellias. I don't care about Lukaku, it's the other Belgan I'm more worried about). Just as long as we don't draw, I'm OK with just a 1-0 Everton win, anything more will be beyond annoying (besides, it's Zieler in goal, so it's a good sign).

The thing I'm looking for is a some great performances, especially from Ndidi.
