Assuming the contract is fair for a kid who has barely played, then this seems on the surface to be a terrific deal.

But is this a fair assumption?

On a two-year deal initially, the GIANTS have moved quickly to secure the exciting young prospect until at least the end of 2021.

Bonar Locked In

The GIANTS’ first pick in last year’s NAB AFL Draft, Aiden Bonar, has put pen to paper for another two years on the eve of his debut season.

GWS trying to salary dump and this is no secret. Perhaps Bonar is on a handy wicket and we are picking up the tab.

Still, we need a player (or two) who can run out of sight on a dark night. Especially with Ben10 in the middle.

This fella's combine stats look terrific. He may be the pace we're looking for.

And if it is the case that GWS have salary dumped Bonar on us, then it will be even sweeter if he comes good and makes an impact at AFL level.

Basically our driving up of Kelly's price may have been the domino which eventually tipped Bonar our way.
