If Archie kicked that goal in the 3rd quarter it’s GOTY

To be honest we probably win the game if it goes through, we were a bit flat and it would have given us an enormous lift.

Big, strong, fast and super competitive - his repeat efforts are unusual for a first year player. He’s a beast.

He’s something....I’m still not sure what but he’s definitely something.
As an essendon supporter you're forgiven for being confused. Not our typical sort of pick

Between him n the 🦄 we’ve drafted two players who are genuinely hard to describe (in a good way) in one draft. Agree though, the repeat efforts and sheer willpower are the best bit, finishing will come but he’s just great grunt right now.

Nothing about this kid says Essendon. The flair, the confidence, the individuality, the wrecklessness.

He looks like someone you'd expect West Coast or Collingwood to draft.

And I mean all of that in a good way.
This seems truer by the week.

Not to mention Cox. Two very un Essendon players.

I get Cox though - I feel like I can see what he’ll be down the line.

Still not sure with Archie. He’s harder to project.

Has Archie kicked a goal yet?
Serious question. My brain is only recalling posters.
Not yet, feels like it may happen soon though as he is building consistency and confidence in his game. The past few weeks he's had a couple of chances to kick one.

He’s been so close so many times. Whenever he kicks his first, the place will go bananas

All very similar breaking the 50m arc running shots too.

Not sure if anyone that watched him as a junior can comment if these were a feature?

ant555 or eDPS don't know if either of you saw much of him playing as a junior?

Seems to me like he's getting enough chances but hasn't quite got his goal radar on target yet. For a guy who was playing forward I'd guess it's just a matter of time until he starts making those.

Also, does he have a nickname around the club or? I just scream "PERKO" at my TV whenever he's on the screen/gets the ball.

Can't call him "Tex" because Taylor Walker has been given that.
