Move him on, not what we need.

Caldwell and Durham give everything every week…..just because they are wired that way. They don’t know how to play the game differently. Roberts, Caddy, Clarke and Kako all look to be cut from the same cloth.

Perkins isn’t wired that way. Gives me big Joe Daniher vibes…..plays because he’s good at it and because it pays well. Not because loves the game and the contest.

He might be ok elsewhere as a cherry on top guy….I can live with that.
Guilfi gives everything too each week, seems like Lual does too. Neither have a quarter of the output or talent as Perkins.

Not sure what you’re saying here.

Are you advocating to keep Perkins? Or just pointing out that Guelfi and Lual also give effort?
I think it’s impossible to know how much effort is given without being in the 4 walls each day. It’s a rare combination having Perkins talent and Durhams or Caldwells effort. Probably looking at a Dangerfield type.

I’d like to see Perkins stay, I think he’s got boatloads of talent. If he doesn’t make it seemingly it would be because of effort.

It’s too early to get rid of him, especially what would be the lack of return.

I think once we are competitive Perkins will be much more damaging.

Too early? He will be 24 before next season starts.

Low footy IQ is a killer. Does a lot of standing around watching - he's like a talented spectator with a really good seat.

Do an afl app compare of Perkins and Rayner. Then look over their previous seasons.

It’s really not that far apart despite Rayner being in a dynasty and Perkins getting flipped all over the field in a rebuild.

stats wise he’s probably 1 goal a game and 4 possies away from being one of the best as a general forward.

I would be disappointed with Rayner at pick 1.

What happens behind the 4 walls is only important in the context of game day output…..which is very visible.

At this point I am very comfortable saying he’s not a highly competitive footballer. My personal view is that we can’t afford to carry anyone who isn’t that as this point in our rebuild (or whatever it is).

He had that one game against the Hawks a couple of years ago where he killed it. So has something but no consistency or improvement.

Looking from the outside it seems it is all in his head.

Hard to judge anything this year, our game plan was all over the shop.

Toby green is probably what we hope Perkins can become(unlikely)

He averages one goal and 2 possessions more than Perkins. Perkins is in a way worse team and more dysfunctional forward line.

I think people have unrealistic expectations from him.

He definitely lost form and confidence as the season went on, but far too early to write off someone like Perkins.

He has the skills, but does he have the heart?
Definitely will be the reason if he fails

But hes getting close to last chance imo

Doesnt do it for me as a fwd doesnt have the finesse, speed, crumbing, touch, creativity for me there

And both Duz and Caldwell have gone past wanting them to do any defensive roles

could still make him work but it won't be as inside mid, that's for sure. spend the summer working on his running and ground ball. high half forward with skills and overhead marking.
