Rupe was a great player when he was hot, funny how he lost his confidence when he was in and out of the side and spending time at Willy! But how can we expect a player to star when they are continually playing VFL and getting only limited chance in the seniors? (sounds oddly familiar) How can we expect a player to be in the best 5 on the field on their first game back in order of keeping their spot? (even more oddly familiar)

Rupe was harshly done by but someone had to go and im sure MM knows his stuff, well i mean what playing at the top level and being a top coach teach you about footy???

Puting aside my not so hidden BK defending, i think Rupe got the axe because he is a small midfield/forward type, which we have an abundance of at Collingwood. I like Rupe a lot as a player, i miss his attack on the ball and spirit. When we delisted him we lost a chunk of our 2002 magic.
