He is actually an elite runner.
One of the reasons we took him at 15 when most had him down the order.
I think he is a wing/hff
His performance has improved in recent weeks , not too level George has stepped up his game , that’s his challenge
His running capacity isn’t a problem , it’s football nous , experience is a great teacher

He was really good tonight, had him in my bests. One of the only Richmond players to play all four quarters. Just didn’t stop chasing.

When you look at the stats Rioli takes the cake as the most disappointing player for me in 2019 in our team Castagna who everyone said was our worst small forward in 2017 is now our best and improving where Rioli seems to have stagnated and Dan Butler is now being left for dead...

Was far too slow to move it on a few times. Needs to step up.
Interesting to read the differing opinions of Rioli's game on Sunday. He wasn't overly great with the ball to be fair, but I think he's so bloody vital to our forward line. Sure, he's not kicking his 2 goals a game at the moment and looks to be a little down on confidence with ball in hand, but I think his last month has been far from bad.
The bar is high for Dan, no doubt - especially following his 2017, but for me he's far from the firing line. I feel much better when he's playing.

Seems very hesitant when he has the ball in hand especially after taking a mark
