Was at the game, good to see him getting a bit more of the ball.

The thing that annoyed me when watching him, he seems happy to trot around without impacting the contest or game.

For example, watched him jog towards a pack and watch the ball go over his head then jog to the next, and before he arrived the ball had left.

Would like to see desperation.

I respectfully disagree.. whilst Jetta didn't get a heap of touches.. I thought the game really started to open up when they started kicking over the top for Lewis to run on to.. and he set up 2 goals in the space of 3 minutes that cracked the game wide open.

However I understand each to their own.

I think you'd find about 0 people in the AFL who can contain Jetta in that situation. Melksham destroyed Jetta

Fanfooty said that Melksham was tagging Jetta, and whenever I saw Jetta on the TV, Melksham was closer to Jetta than Heppell was, so I'm pretty sure Paul Roos was wrong

I wasn't going by Paul Roos' comment, I'd actually noticed the two of them standing each other a few times and assumed they were playing head to head.

Heppell DID have jetta in the first half... and Jetta did SFA. (maybe longmuire happy to get hepp out of the play too??)

Melksham was definitely on Jetta in the second half.... I'll leave the rest to you.

I could be wrong but thought that Heppell was on Jetta in the first half, playing off a wing?

Then when Dempsey got injured Heppell was shuffled to half back. Not sure who went to Jetta after that.

*Disclaimer. Take this with a huge grain of salt.

Melksham did enough imo this week. A good sign from both him and Jetta that they can at least compete when playing against the top pressure side. If we can have these fringe players holding their own when the heat is on then it bodes well for the coming weeks.

I see that you guys can't tell the difference between Goodes and Jetta from distance either (their profiles, and numbers makes them look very similar). Heppell was with Goodes if he was on anyone.

Heppell was on Jetta in the first half for most I think and gave him an absolute bath.

This is simply not true Heppel was with Goodes in the first quarter and then may was opposed to Jetta more in the second. Dunstall says that Heppel is with Jetta twice which is where this idea that he did a good job must come from. Heppel in no way prevents Jetta getting a possesion in the first half of the replay which I've just watched.

If you want to see a tagger giving his opponent a bath have a look at what Hocking did to Hannebery.

Honestly how many chances/clangers can one player have???

I am not doubting the effort or the hardness of melksham, however his decision making and calling for the ball in wrong spots is below AFL standards. Build his confidence in the VFL for a few weeks, earn his spot like the rest of the team fighting for a spot.

Our best game this year was on Anzac day, why?? Because we didn't give away so many cheap goals.

If melksham plays this week I hope he is just our emergency like in the Richmond game...

Can someone give him a toast for his game last week.

Played his second best game for the club IMO and liked alot of what i saw.

His DE% still wasnt great but it was against Sydney and was higher then Watson and Stanton and not far off Zaka ect

Had 20 (15 kicks) disposals, only was lead by Watson in CC against the best stoppage side in comp and was only lead by Stanton for Inside 50's

I hope he got some votes for his game last week i really liked it probably behind Stanton, Hibberd, Hocking (4th best for me)
