His good form continues. His kick to Winders was magnificent, hopefully he can keep it up for the rest of the year.
Going to need him to stand up if we are to lose Jobe (4 - 6 weeks) and possibly Stanton (1 - 2 weeks) through injury. Really, really enjoying his breakout period and hope he can continue building into something pretty good.

Another solid game from Jake and good to see it has now been a run of a few games. Yes the snap made me tear some hair out, but had some great kicks throughout the game. Keep this going Jake.

Playing some pretty good and consistent footy the last few weeks. This second half of 2013 could be the emergence of Melksham as a very handy midfielder. Made the one bad mistake by playing on from that mark in the forward 50, although watching the replay the port player really did look like he wasn't paying attention so he got tricked on that one but I can understand why he tried it.

Seeing our maligned players like Hooker, Myers and Melksham playing so well is just so fantastic for us.

Melksham is putting together a very nice season. He is starting to nail difficult kicks with regularity which I think before June 2013 he was probably not even attempting.

LA Lakers.
Great game that was soured by one incident. Made it easier to swallow when Monfries went and did the same thing after 5 minutes.

Haha loved Melk putting his hands up during the melee. Once a boxer, always a boxer.

He reminds me sooooooo much of a younger Brent Stanton!!

capable of the brilliant, and follow it up with the poor.

Wont be as big a ball winner as Stanton

I really liked Melksham's games against the Dogs. He was disciplined and stuck at the task against Griffen really well, doing about as much as he could do for as long as he could (was literally hanging off Griff at stages). Hitting scoreboard, 1.2, while tagging is the sign of a smart player and good tagger.

I admit i am fairly terrible at noticing when a midfielder is playing out of his mind. I sometimes won't notice someone getting 30 touches because so many are handballs in close, often far away from where I'm sitting.

Outside of kicking timely goals, I never notice Melksham do anything good... just stuffing up with complete brain fades or putting in lazy efforts.
