When I say 'project' forwards, I just meant young guys.

Imagine if Joey and Stewart got injured right now, we'd be stuffed.
Yeah, I get your point.

We do have Francis, laverde and Langford that could fill that role at a pinch. Even Smack if he remains on the list.

In my opinion we have the fundamentals of a good side now that just needs to mature. I think it would be more beneficial now filling our list with midfielders in the hope that we find one or two star midfielders. It has been proven that you can still find very good midfielders deep in the draft so that for me would be the less risky play.

You don't always get a bag of chocolates as a forward but I thought his effort and attitude was brilliant today. Deserves to be in the team against the Tigers next week.

Stewart was one of many poor performances last night. There are plenty of guys to be dropped before him.
Body of work the past few weeks give him a pass for last night. However, another performance like that then yes, his spot is in contention. However there isn't really anyone banging down the door for selection after him

Work rate was fine just disposal let him down a lot against the tigers with 42.9% efficiency and 5 clangers from 14 disposals. Noticed he also went into the ruck a little bit (3 hitouts for the match). Holds his spot and hopefully turns it around against his old club.

He was okay and did enough to hold his spot.

I thought that his ruck work, albeit it only a glimpse, was good (first contest aside). He held his position well and attacked the ball.

He's still not attacked the ball enough in the air on a few occasions and been out-marked when he should not have been.

Was very disappointed that he didn't take the shot for goal when we were 6 points down.

Even if he missed getting the margin down to 5 would have been important and we would have been able to set up to defend the kick in instead of a rebound.

If the biggest knock on him is that he isn't backing himself in, then that's not so bad. Easily fixed!

Three ineffective performances in succession now...has to go. Like what he adds to our structure but has to perform better than this.

Happy for either Smack (no idea if he's on senior list or not right now) or Langford to come in and replace. Its a shame Brown isn't available - think he's be really good as the third floating tall.

Will be under immense pressure to hold his spot when the likes of Langford, Laverde, Francis and Begley come into the team. The dream scenario would be for him to be able to hold down a spot as the second tall to send Hooker back but don't think it will happen.

He will never be able to do what Hooker does, he's just not that type of player.

He only turned 23 three months ago so he has lots of development left in him. I think people can be a little impatient with players and expect an end product straight away. He has things to work on but you could say that about every player on our list. Personally I believe if he can improve on his contested work in the air then he will be valuable. He rarely loses a one on one battle at ground level and that is a valuable skill in itself.

He is important for our setup because he offers flexibility and I think he's more than worth persisting with.
