He has the potential to play and have a good impact later this season, although I would hesitate to say he will be best 22 material. The last few years, 2016 in particular, he has shown that he's too good for NEAFL but not quite at AFL standard, so some time in the VFL may help to bridge that gap. What he needs to work on is his forward play (leading, identifying space, drawing players etc.) and adding some weight to his frame so he isn't thrown around as easily. Some one-on-one coaching will really go a long way with him, I think.
If he gets on the park this year for five games and manages to average more than a goal in each, I'll be satisfied.
