According to Crow he'll be running later this week. Probably plays ANZAC Saturday vs Pies in the VFL
If he's not even running til later this week, very unlikely he's ready for Anzac Day. More likely the following week.

I meant the Saturday. That's what it sounded like anyway

hopefully trade the spud at the end of the year. there's no longer room for him unfortunately
There's no room for a 25 year old who averages 1 and a half goals a game in his time at Essendon, when we have two 28 year olds who've never had a better season than his 2017, Daniher, who hasn't played fully fit since the end of 2017, and a 19 year old who has played 1 game in the VFL as our other key forwards on the list? What a silly post.

Um, no. I'd see Jake Long out first. Probably Bags second, unless he gets selected in the 22 again, then I'm all in.
We've got three blokes that can play his position better than he can. Makes no sense keeping him. Baguley is our only lock down forward so we need him

For a 25 year old at his size to average those numbers is quite embarassing.

I like the forward line depth as it is, and with Daniher and McKernan, and last week Stewart being injured it's been good to have Brown. And although Brown played well in the seniors last week, it's worth noting that in the VFL the week before, Stewart was smashing it before getting injured. As well, Stewart is only 25 this year, while Brown will be 29. Stewart's upside is clear. Plenty of players out before Stewie; Bags, Dea, the perennially injured Laverde perhaps...

At 25 McKernan was averaging 11 touches and had 31 goals in 51 games
At 25 Brown was averaging 14 touches and had 29 goals in 36 games

You were saying?

He's far from a spud. He'll be back in the 1s this year at some point and will prove his worth. He and JD are our future kpf combo.

So last time we had an injury update he was running again. Now they're saying he's not going to start running until it's completely healed (fair enough), and since it hasn't completely healed, he still isn't running.

Once he starts running progressions, then it will be a couple of weeks. So basically it's an indefinite short term injury atm?

One Don who won’t be playing this week is key forward James Stewart as the club continues to take a patient approach with his recovery from a groin injury.

“Last week we mentioned that James hadn’t run yet and was a little bit slow to get going – that’s still the case.

“We’re going to keep holding until he’s completely clear before starting his running progressions. Once we do that, he’ll be a couple of weeks away.

“He is a little bit slow to get started, but we’re really intent on getting this one right.”

Hopefully just being ultra conservative after the Daniher debacle

Not sure of timeframes regarding our injured forwards but is Stewart due back soon? If so would he come straight into the seniors given our issue with lack of talls? Or will he come back through the two's?

Given he's missed so much footy (hasn't played in 6 weeks) I'd say 2's.

So he injured his groin for apparently 1-2 weeks in round 3, and in the last injury update Crow has him not playing until round 11 at the earliest.
Now pushed back to round 13. For *s sake.
