I'm not ashamed to say it. He's da bomb.

As per usual I agree sw. I'd go as far as to say that Grima is now one of our top 3 MVP's. And I can't help but wonder if he had played against Geel & had held Pods for the first half, that game could've been a lot closer.
His contested work & composure is HUGE.

yeah he's vital at the back, footy smart and also allows Scotty T on the 2nd / 3rd best forward and closer to half back / wing area where he is rebound is telling.............

He is the most important player on our list. And I've been calling this all week, he'd keep Riewoldt to 2-3 goals and provide destructive rebound from defence.

I might watch the replay and have a toss later.

We saw today how important Narni is for not only our backline but the team. If we didnt have him today we might have struggled, he has a huge work rate and does a lot more than just defend. He is one of my favourite players and there is definitely a lot of man love for him on this board.

He really is an exceptional defensive aerialist.

Can get a kick too.

How much better did we look with 2 defensive talls which allowed Hunter, Pratty and Spud to play their counter attacking roles?

If Tazza misses next week, I want Josh straight in to the backline. We seem so much more balanced with that blend.

I couldn't agree more BR. We had stopping power and maintained drive out of defence. We looked so much better with all bases covered and with our repellers allowed to provide the drive. Tazza's spot was the missing link before today.

I hadn't really appreciated this but you make a good point on the exposed form of two games. I'm not sure that Tazza has had a lot to beat, though. And he still looks half a beat off the pace.

Still, against teams with 2 big key forwards, this is the structure you would go with. So with Pratty playing well, and adding Rawlings to the above list, we have a selection dilemna when Scotty Mac is ready to come back.

To the tune of the thread, i was on Narni weeks back.
And when we lost him against Geelong i knew it was a bad sign.
Pods and Goodes guys.
Think about it.
Both number one forwards for their teams.
Both won them the game.
Both times we had no options for em.
Scotty H and Spud are 3rd and 4th defenders.
As soon as they play KP. WE ARE ****ED.
No mistake.
Narni in those games WOULD HAVE MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE.
Just look at todays performance.

Surely the monday expert TV shows gonna give him some cred soon.........

PS were does the "NARNI" nickname originate?

Patted him on the back after game. Haven't washed hand since.

Surely there are rules in the inner sanctum about touching players? Or do they talk - like books my 8 year old son gets - about 'Ok touching' and 'not Ok touching'?
