So with Pratty playing well, and adding Rawlings to the above list, we have a selection dilemna when Scotty Mac is ready to come back.

Not at all. Play McMahon across HF or a leading forward pocket. He has all the attributes: good lead, strong overhead, footysmarts, pressure and an exceptional kick. Could easily bob up with a couple of goals each week and would compromise the sort of structure and balance we have up forward. We have always looked our most dangerous (our 3 game streak this year, our six game streak in '08) going into matches with mobility and versatility rather than two or three talls in the forward line. Having him play forward and someone like Obst/Smith/Tarrant playing in defence, means that Scott has a lot more cards up his sleeve if certain match-ups aren't working or if a certain opposition defender needs exploiting.

I can see something like this working well after McMahon finds form in the 2's:

F: Warren Edwards Harvey

Some funny stuff on here with some questions coming from the boys at the club to ask these 2. H biting back at a Pratty question was funny. Pratty rang in after the break for a laugh. Narni has a new girlfriend the boys were ribbing him about not being around much. Levi asked for H to reveal why his nickname was 'Phantom Dick'. Plenty i have missed as I'm babysitting at the same time. Still on after the break stay tuned....

So i'm sitting here listening to the stream and they put the call out for people to ring in and ask the boys from North a question.

After a bit of chit chat JB says there'll be some callers coming up after the break. When they put Pratty straight through and no-one came on after him i knew we had a problem.

Knowing that our boys are sitting there and not 1 single north supporter has rung up to speak to the boys made me feel sick. It's the same feeling i get when i wonder what the players think of playing in front of a measly 15, 000 supporter's.

We all sit here and whinge about little to no coverage in the press, but, and it kills me to say it, we have the smallest interest in the AFL. Our own supporter's are low in numbers and that's what's killing the club. Not Cowro, smith Denhem, I hate everyone of them, and i suppose theyre negativity may stop us getting new members, but F*** me, if i could do more to get us fans and members i would, just tell me what to do JB and EUGE!!! We need more supporters!

P.s. God i hope Boomer gets 300 paid fans to line up as a guard of honour. I'm not doing it would feel like a bit of a nuff out there to be honest, but i will donate $300 to the club if they need to make up the numbers so some "newly migrated" kid can get a thrill and hopefully start following the club. I honestly don't know a kid under 15 yrs old that supports Nth Melb that i could shout. Was thinking about starting a thread up to donate but thought it better to go straight to the club.

Haha I heard you, I have a sick family at the moment so was babysitting and getting dinner ready or would have made a call myself. I still thought it was a pretty decent interview that showed a lighter side to our players and also JB. Billy loves Grima and this type of press whoever listens to it can only be positive.....

Most of it's been said here already TT.

- Narni has a new missus and is spending a lot of time with her (most of it in the bedroom JB got him to admit). He claims to have her on a "2 nights a week" rule, so he can still spend time with the boys. But Hamish said the off-nights are taken up with at least 5 or 6 phone calls.

-Pratty claimed to be more about the "love" than the lust when it comes to his lovely, and told Narni he should take some lessons off him. The boys wanted to know how Pratty can consider himself in the top 5 most professional players at the club but have a double-barrel sausage sizzle every gameday. Claimed he also skipped training to pick his gf up from the airport.

-Hamish doesn't want any of the rules f-cked with, except for video review of contentious goal-line decisions.

-'Narni' is what his little brother called him because he couldn't pronounce Nathan.

- Hamish is single, and the "Phantom Dick" nickname came from wearing his speedos in the ice bath. confused. Narni was asked to explain and said "I live with him and I've been his best mate for 3 years and I've never seen it, so I have no idea."

Most of it was just the boys all having a bit of a laugh. It was kind of refreshing actually

Pratty calling in was a pi$$er because Billy mentioned he got injured on the weekend and asked if it was a hammy......Pratty announced he'd damaged his sphincter! Boys were rolling around laughing.

Nathan Grima and Lachlan Hansen came to our supporters' group lunch last Sunday and they were both fantastic! They were very friendly and more than happy to chat to supporters.

*Mentioned he put a bit of weight on when he had his knee reco and it took a rocket from the coaching staff to make him realise just what was needed to be a full time professional athlete - can't do it for weekdays then let your hair down on weekends.

*Looking forward to playing as much footy as he can for the club and getting to play on the best fwd's in each side this year. Played on a few last year, got taught a lesson by Riewoldt in terms of workrate etc and just how big the gap is to reach that level but he is closing it.

*All the players are excited about heading to Utah for the work at altitude but also the time together to bond.

*Hoping the altitude training will help extend the current game time for the younger players such as Jack, Basta as with the subs rule this year they will be required to perform at top speed for longer.
