But Montgomery did kick a goal eventually so I didn't count him - that's why I want Narni to get one, to get off the list. Byron Pickett didn't score a goal until his 55th game too but ended his career with nearly as many goals as games.

You knew with choppy though, that as soon as he broke through - he'd go nuts. Had a lot of near misses to get there.

A victory for perserverence.

The bloke is playing some tremendous football right now.

May it continue for another 150 games.

gun! will be even better at 100....he stays on the track and id go as far as to say he will be all australian in the future

Remember two years ago when it was No Narni No North.
When hes up and about we are a very good team.

Since the middle of 2010 we've won 17 of the 27 games he has played in. Not Joel Selwood type numbers but of the 21 games he's missed since then we've only won 7.

That says it all eh? He's crucial to us.

Onya Narni. Hurry up and get your next 50 knocked over so you can enter the NMFC F/S Breeding Program!

Ive been watching a fair few North Melbourne matches as my family are North supporters, I've taken a liking in particular to Nathan Grima as he reminds me of Dustin Fletcher from the mid 90's. Could he have been a Fletch fan?, just seems to have obviously based his game on him, has those long arms, loves the 1v1 and has an equally attacking mindset.
Here's hoping you guys have a man who ends up half as good!

Hey, if Dustin Fletcher was 26, he'd be a young Dustin Fletcher ;)
i hope he plays as long as Gadget.... was a late starter but has come pretty good.... does have some similarities.... wish he would unload a 75m torp... who knows maybe he cannn

First good look, paid particular attention to him (DT etc) and I think he lost maybe one contest the whole night. Good mobility and closing speed for his size as well, and great spoiler. Some Cartel player had the sit in the goalsquare, (Henderson I think) Grima was out of position (running back with flight) and a text book spoil without giving away a free.

Yeah, but Grima actually plays on an opponent ;):thumbsu:
Hence the reference to Fletcher in the 90's who was allocated opponents more so those days as I recall. Anyway, Grima was fantastic. I remember Atley saying that he is one of a few that is very vocal and organized back there. Clearly a leader of our back 6.

Both put on an absolute clinic tonight in different aspects of the game.

Goldy's centre square ruckwork, particularly in the third term, was absolutely sublime.

Grima's closing speed and ability to spoil time and time again was just relentless. He was even spoiling from three and four deep at times.

Grima would have to be the outstanding medium defender of the competition right now.

Todd? He's a class above Kruezer as a tap ruckman.

I thought he gave him a bath around the ground too. Both guys are so good to watch when they are up and about!

He was literally above him. It's rare you see a ruckman a good foot and a half higher at centre bounces, but Kruezer wasn't even getting the chance to touch it.
