I don't. I'm not saying Narni won't retire this year, but I can't imagine he has already made his mind up one way or the other. I would think that if he has a good year, he'll go around again, and if he doesn't, he'll probably consider hanging up the boots. His best is well and truly good enough, and at this point in time, he's as fit as he's ever likely to be.

It does happen. This time last year Spud was at my nephew's school and he said it would definitely be his last year (obviously he had a ripper season and changed his mind) but many footballers would go into a season thinking it's their last

On one hand that's a good point, on the other hand it does also lend weight to my point that these sort of things, even if they are 'decided' this well in advance, can easily change.

Ramping Up

Defender Nathan Grima has completed his first pre-season conditioning session and is confident he can play a significant role in North’s 2015 campaign.

The 29-year-old was placed on a ‘maintenance program’ leading up to the Christmas break after suffering a navicular stress fracture in the early stages of last season.

Back at Arden Street, Grima says the club is ramping up his training workload in time for the NAB Challenge.

I love how he pointed out that most on the list think they are a chance of starting in the 22. This is where our improvement will come from this year.
Well said. Players like Fishy, Basti, Patch, Spud, Loose, Taz, BJ and Robbie Nahas aren't appearing in a lot of best 22s on here but they are all capable players who when fit are great depth or could even end up cemented into the team by the end of the year. Not to mention the less experienced guys that could step up: Dumont, McKenzie, Warren, Wood etc.

Will perform the biggest celebration if he reaches the ton.
Needs 14 games, which given his injury history is not guaranteed at all. Hope he gets there. I would say he will play anywhere between 10 and 15 games.

Shit news. Great bloke and a quality player but his body clearly isn't meant to play football. I really hope he can get back for the real stuff at the end of the year but this will seriously test our KPD depth early on.
Tarrant's stocks have suddenly shot through the mofing roof.
