In all seriousness, I can't remember feeling happier for a Swan in recent times after one game than Sinclair last night. He clearly works his arse off to improve and it just hadn't seemed to work but last night was a great pay off. I'm really rooting for him - which isn't to say I think he'll still definitely be in the side by the time finals come but since he's got to the club I've felt like I can't help but like him.

I feel very similar. Always supported him. Reckon his ruck work was fine & his positioning etc fwd was good... just needed to clunk some marks.

I'm very very confused. Athleticism coordination and agility for marking aren't things you suddenly acquire. Players either have those motor skills or they don't. Sinclair doesn't. Miraculously he suddenly shows those skills in one game!! I'm speechless. Can he do it consistently? I didn't think he could do it once.........so who knows if he can.
Thinking back we've rarely ever seen him one on one.

Usually he was just sitting forward under a high kick against two defenders with Buddy/Tippo/Reid on his hip. And often he was only there temporarily off the bench.

He worked his arse off when he was sent back to the NEAFL, did everything you expect a dropped player to do. Whilst I know the standard of opposition is way below, he showed then that he was capable of doing it and I'm so happy that he was able to show his detractors what he is capable of.
Now he just needs to maintain it.

Not buying in yet in the slightest.

Zero evidence or any form line in his previous 50 or so games that says he can do it consistently. Betting it will be one of the all time flash in the pan games.

The excitement around the performance is a fair indication of the expectations people have for cal :p

Very good point. It felt so out of nowhere for him to dominate a game like that, let alone against a guy like Jake Carlisle.

He was serviced by some perfect kicks to him too. Either out in front for him to run and jump at or put to his advantage at the back of a one-on-one contest. You could see the team became confident in finding him too as the game went on. If he continues getting that kind of service - unlikely, let's be honest - he could continue playing well, but if we bomb aimlessly against Hawthorn, the likes of Hodge, Burton, Hardwick will have a field day rebounding.

Think (and not to take away from him) buddy helped him a heap as well, they worked quite well together spacing wise

Yep, didn't get in each other's way at all. Reid and Bud appeared to be working well at that too. Probably down to only having 2 talls operating inside 50 rather than 3.

If we play Bud, Reid and Sinclair I suspect we'll see far more of two guys going for one aerial contest.

Funnily enough, maybe this turns into the same streak hos opponent Carlisle went on a few years back where he wad virtually unstoppable in the air for a month or so and was being touted as one of the best mark in the league.

I follow no other, only Swans
I never knocked him, but then I never praised him either. A huge testament to our mids for clean entry inside 50, though our forwards seemed to be doing their best to fluff things up. Even Sinkers missed another three very gettable goals.

The nice thing is, after a start where we were so skint of talent that Kenny could have got a game, we now have a war chest of quality players battling it out in the NEAFL, ready to step up and do a job for us. Swans coaching and conditioning staff, take a bow. Especially you Mr Shaw.
