Got a good feeling about Dattoli. Think he could become a big game player.

He interviews well, and based on the glint in his eyes when he said Bulldogs and Richmond passed over him and so Sydney was looking likely, I reckon he wasn’t too disappointed at all.

Love his combativeness and that he kicks on both feet. To hear him talk it sounds like he's got something approaching Rowell levels of competitiveness. Reckon we've got a good 'un.

Apparently he thought he was likely to be picked between picks 20 and 24 , most likely by the Bulldogs, Richmond or us (which is surprisingly specific! - and candid). But when the pick was called and his family and friends erupted, he was already wearing a Swans scarf. Did he have all 3 scarves handy and switch them after each pick was called until it got to us? If so, I'm not sure what to make of it. Probably I'd say it means he's professional with good attention to detail (or someone in his camp who is).

I hope he's cool with moving interstate after being passed over by Bulldogs and Tiges. I reckon even if he isn't thrilled he'll get on board.

Yeh, I did love the enthusiasm in his Swans interview. You could tell he really meant when he said he wanted it all to start as soon as possible.

I get a whiff of the Papley competitiveness about Jesse. That will be a good thing. I won't die of surprise if he debuts Rd 0 in the Parker forward role.

Would love to see an early debut but I think the Parker role will be Cleary's first. If they can fit all of Papley, Cleary and Dattoli in the same side, I'm all for it! But probably comes at the expense of Campbell.

Easy solution take out a tall forward, we don't need Logan plus 2 talls, one of Amartey/McLean. Cleary for Parker, and one of Campbell-Dattoli-Hanily in for the tall (Amartey/McLean).

Dattoli is being looked at as a future Mid, his stay in the fwd line will be short I reckon. Wicks cards are already marked you would think.

I can see this working but requires Haywood to step up as the third tall option (Or us to use Heeney).

Game now is about pressure and you need mobile forwards you aren’t mobile just won’t work. It’s why probably go Amartey over McLean

Honestly I like Amartey, just need to get his endurance up.

His had near constant interrupted seasons, so this should help

There’s stubborn coaching and there’s an unwillingness to even jump. Two different things. It’s also why I’m personally only gambling on Logan plus 1 other not plus 2. Just choose one. For me the way the game is going McLean is too slow, it’s why I’d look at two smaller types coming in one being Caiden Cleary obviously

Another positive of the Dattoli pick is that it means Cleary could maybe focus more on trying to get into the midfield mix. He has all the right attributes that we need more of in the guts.
