Thanks for your work Bear. You've been a pleasure to watch and your loyalty to the club during those dark years is appreciated more than you'll know.

I'm not sure why, but my enduring image of you is chasing a loose ball in a forward pocket vs. Bulldogs, maybe in 2010. I was at a pub in Tamworth. The determination on your face in pursuit of that ball summed you up for me. One of my favourites. All the best in whatever you do.

Would absolutely love to see him in the VFL as a playing coach like Neville Jetta has done for the Pies.

Good to see someone with a camera knew what was important.

Was so pissed when channel 7 zoomed in on the ball going through the sticks like it was somehow miraculous and then cut straight to the box Hurls’ family was in.

Good to see Drapes and Guelfi the first to get around him too — of course it’s those two extroverts. Need more of them.
How was Ch 7 after the siren, barely got a glimpse of Hurls until he was carried off. Would’ve been nice to see teammates and opposition going up and shaking his hand

respect to Nathan broad, definitely ran off Hurley to leave him free out the back to give him a chance to get a mark.

His 2014, 2015 and 2017 in defence were as good as anyone has played in the last 10 years.

Extremely good player.

Will be missed.
Yep, genuine top shelf player around that time. Missing 2016 robbed us of seeing that for five years straight too.

Macleod Football club has just announced that Michael has signed on for next season. His playing commitments will be managed as he has plans to become involved in coaching at AFL/VFL level.
Great news for Macleod, which is where he played his junior footy.
Would be a 1 point player then. Very handy.
