Quality combinations seem to have a ring and sense of cohesion to the names within them, usually developed over time and familiarity. Think Ratten, Bradley, Brown etc, Hodge, Lewis and Mitchell and Pendlebury, Swan, Thomas and Ball.
I can see the same developing with our kids: Cripps, Dow and Walsh.
Even more importantly, those midfield had quality depth: Setters, Kennedy, SPS, Murphy, LOB, Curnow, Fisher. .. Great soldiers.
Love where our list is going, just give it time to get there, Bluebaggers! Rome wasn't built in a day!

A brilliant result. I have posted enough about Walsh already, but this is huge. He’ll start as Lachie Whitfield and transition into Josh Kelly.

Our young players are on notice - Walsh already works harder than all of them, so they’ll have to lift to keep up.

For what it’s worth, the other comparison I’ve heard a few times is Robbie Flower. Sit back and enjoy.
