One thing we're unlikely to say when Walsh is playing, unless he's on the bench - Where the **** is Walsh?

I know I've said this before but, but I was gob-smacked watching him last live year.
One contest is done and he's already at the next one, ball goes there and he's in place and good to go, he passes the ball off and ready to receive again should he be needed.

Even in his first year at this club, it's likely to be the #18 you'll see more than any other number on your screens. Amazing young man.
He's like the energiser bunny.

If the energiser bunny had elite running patterns and off-the-charts football IQ ;)

Our other young kids must have learnt something from Walsh in the 4-5 months or so that he's been with Carlton. It's just an immense effort to produce what he has done jnbis first 3 AFL games.

If I was one of the other younger kids I'd be thinking "how does he do it?"

Absolute gun - I said it in JLT - already one of our five best players certainly top 3 midfielder - just amazing already looks lie a future Captain.
Forget criticisms of us having too many players in the leadership group.... The way we're travelling we're going to have 6 co-captains.... :)

For those that haven't seen him live, please make the effort and watch the number 18 play.

Without gushing too much, the kid is second only to Cripps as our most influential player so far from my viewing. His balance, agility, gut running and spread is simply phenomenal.

He ran 16.2 km on Saturday which was more than anyone on the ground. He had 28 disposals, kicked a goal, had 3 rebound 50s and 13 of his touches were contested.

Furthermore, he had a team high 30 pressure acts and spent 112 minutes out of 125 on the ground. Compare this to Dow and Setterfield who spent 95 minutes on field. Fisher and SPS had 17 pressure acts, Polson and Gibbons even less. He is setting the benchmark for performance in every category.

All this from an 18 year old in his 3rd game.
Oh aren’t they all coming out of the wood work now.

I saw him first.

Apparently he brings his own footy for the game. He is happy to share it with the others, but only on the proviso that they kick it back to him & he gets to use it more than anyone else.
I am not sure he actually needs team mates for any other reason than it let’s him run down the ground and take marks from their kicks. They otherwise seem superfluous to me. Maybe Cripps. Maybe.
