Just make it 24 like the other leagues and add them plus two others. Surely can be done without ******* around too much. Maybe some changes or removal of league cup because of extra games.

Should have happened 10 years ago IMO. But I suppose with recent events the thoughts turn to the SPL and what would happen to it if it's two biggest assets joined another league. Maybe introduce a relegation/promotion, lowest ranked Scottish side drops out..

Given you have Swansea & Cardiff kicking about in the PL, the precedent is there.
Royalties would need to be passed to the SFA to counteract the loss of revenue from those two clubs being in it.
The difference is there's no chance Wales leaves the Union. Scotland, you just never know.
If Guy Sebastian can sing in Eurovision then Rangers and Celtic can play in the EPL.
That's if they want to.
Rangers would probably jump at the chance with all their little UK lickspittles as fans. Celtic not so sure.

Celtic & Rangers in the PL whilst Scotland is outside the UK will be fine
...or perhaps merge the Scottish pyramid into England. Would provide the Scottish clubs an opportunity to work their way up a more lucrative market

Before relegation comes into it they would have to achieve Premier League status. If this last week has taught us anything it's that status based on merit is sacrosanct. If Celtic and Rangers resigned from the SFA they couldn't just lord it into the Premier League. I reckon they would have to enter the English pyramid in tier 5. Of course they would rapidly rise through the divisions but there would be no guarantee they would get promoted out of the Championship. If they did get into the EPL they could be end up as lower to mid-table teams with little prospect of Champions League football. Plus, of course, that they would be trashing their own history in Scottish football.

Rangers and Celtic should just stay in the Scottish league and keep smacking teams whose player salaries are level -- or in many cases worse than -- A-League clubs.
