Been a great addition so far.

Only played 20 games total... but adding plenty to the F 50 and has that goal sneak that you just cant teach about him.

If he can manufacture 30 goals for the season... wow a bonus.

Manufactured 46 so far, and has made the 44-man AA squad. An absolute magical pick who has strengthened Geelong's forward line immeasurably, and taken all before him. Credit to Tyson, he's been fantastic, and also credit to Eddie and the coaching to give Tyson the encouragement and direction, and confidence to thrive.

Game 100 coming up this Friday, well done to the man.

I was really dubious that summer when we picked him. He delivered in his very first game, got AA in his first season with us and continues to be such a good player for the cats.

Good article in The Age where he mentions how he likes that the club treats players like adults (we all know about that) but importantly, respects the individual. Mentions that he is more of a quiet sort of guy and how the club and players respect that.

I think that is underrated in importance - sports clubs can sometimes overdo the team building, matey "one in all in" sort of stuff. The cats seem to understand everyone is different. Cannot undervalue that first year with Eddie Betts as a mentor either.

But enough about the club and everyone else - at the end of the day they can't make the player do anything, it's on them. And Tyson has shown a good work ethic for four years here now and anyone who watches him sees that he does the special things as well as the mundane but important. What a great teammate he must be.
