Except that Shanahan didn't get outsmarted (last drive/2 yes he did). McVay got completely outsmarted and truly went away from what worked all year and what the Patriots were bad at defending. Shanahan continuously had men open until the last 2 come from behind drive attempts

What we're doing here is the equivalent of criticising Russell Wilson for only finishing 2nd in the MVP. It's stupid
Do we blame Pete Carroll or Russell Wilson for that call of a pass play and an INT vs the Pats?

We say well done Malcolm Butler/Pats coaches for studying the film and making the big time play at the big time moment.
no...

we blame carroll for a bad play call
we blame wilson for telegraphing it or not checking out of the play
we credit butler for reading it.

we apportion cause and effect to all parties involved directly in that play.

Except that...

a. it was a good play call
b. Wilson did as he was meant to

lol, no one in the world thinks it was a good play call...not even carroll. since then the entire nfl community agrees they shouldve run lynch once, twice, three times.
That's wrong. Plenty of people think it was good play call. The game situation in itself determines that it was good play call. Maximising your opportunities to score and win.

The people saying it was a bad call are the casual fans who only know a handful of names, one of them being Marshawn Lynch

I'm not surprised that you say it was a bad play call tho. Mr. 3 yards and a cloud of dust is efficient football.

Also Carroll did not say it was a bad play call. He said it was the worst result to a play call and would've been a great play call if they caught it... But you keep bringing up fake news (as I said, highly intelligent computer, but your NFL knowledge is poor)

It's the same typical stuff that we always see tho. Reactionary people (i.e. low intelligence) going crazy over results, but not taking the time to look into the actions that brought about the results. Just because you had a bad result does not mean the action was poor. Such a simple thing to grasp yet so many people too stupid to understand that

Garoppolo checked to a new play on the 2nd and 5. Shanahan may have called a run we don't know. But there was still a wide open Kittle 5 yds over the middle and Jones just made a championship play

At the end of the day people will always want to point the finger rather than just giving credit where it is due to Jones

It's both. Credit to KC/Jones and point the finger at Shanahan/Garoppolo. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive.

This is what happens when a thread remains stickied too long, descends into utter chaos over analysing every moment of this one and other completely irrelevant superbowls.

Agreed. Just give KC credit and move on noobs. BTW this certifies the fact that GG.exe is still a Raider through and through. Too salty to just say well done to KC and get over it.
