I hope we get more of the 2022 version of Cory Durdin in 2025.
I can see why we gave him a long contract, his 2022 season was excellent. Tough, good overhead game, kicked goals, tackled, hit bodies hard, was good up the ground, spent time on the ball for good results.
The last two seasons. Soft, avoids body contact, doesn't get it much or kick many goals, doesn't go into the middle, doesn't have an overhead game.
Durdin needs to get his body right, play really hard and hard running footy and get back to what he was doing in 2022.
I would like to think we can get this right but exactly. Not good. If he's not playing hard, physical footy and hitting bodies then his career is over.

Not just a great return, but a plain demonstration of how much a small forward who knows his craft can make a difference.
Was in all the right places at the right time today, got the loose balls that spilled out the back of the contest and also forced the ball carrier to honor his leads.
Mighty effort - please dont get injured ever again Durds!

His big issue is that he couldn't get near the ball before. Today, he was positioning himself very well.
I think that was a lot more about the lack of continuity though.
I thought the same. He got to the right spots

Slotted that one form the boundary line beautifully.
I wonder how much of today was Durds happy being in SA playing in front of the family.

Looked like he was able to work closer to goal. Showed he has a degree of fwd craft. Hopefully can continue playing deeper like this instead of having to run to far into d50

He's had runs of 9, 10 and two runs of 11 games straight before. This is the best positioning I can remember. Hopefully, just maturity and confidence today.

I'd love it if Durds could do something like this every two weeks, give us one goal and 5 tackles every week and something like this on special occasions. The problem is, this is is best footy, and we have only rarely seen it.
As long as we tell him that today's performance is the expectation, I'm happy for how he went today. We need goals from him.

Not since half way through 23 through.
Last year was sub, then subbed off, then got 7 games.
After that he got 2 more games as sub prior to round 24.
He's always had the ability, he's just never had the full confidence from a solid fitness base.
He's the best option we have in that position, so hopefully his body will not let him down.

Durds had a great game today,showed signs of what a true small forward should be doing.

Loved his game. I’m sure the shoulder was an issue, let’s hope he is now fit and ready to deliver. Big asset if he can produce consistently.
