i think westbourne are okay but seem to be a little off the pace. however they have beaton bernards but it may have been because of the big home advantage they have. mustve played well against fitzroy, i cant really explain that

Fitzroy have missed a few players through injury recently apparently.
Still think you're underestimating Westbourne though. They could go alright this year, I'd be surprised if they didn't finish up in the top 4.

Personally I wouldn't describe a 2pt win as 'strong', especially considering they were chasing for 3 quarters...
But agreed, at this stage progressing quite nicely and looking good going into 1/2way mark of the season. No doubt will only be bolstered further come finals time due to ripple-effect from players coming back from the seniors to play finals with the div 1 team.

Does playing matches in seniors qualify you for U/19 finals? I would have thought that it would be like reserves level; you have to play "X" many games in that side to be allowed to come back for finals.
