Reds cant handle the heat, only just got over the line on the weekend, lost to the '' shit '' Bernard’s in the last round of the season, (where it actually was ''hot'' becuase they needed to win) and have heads the size of hot air balloons! For such a lowly ranked football club you sure do talk yourself up.

Your mob, players and supporters, have to be the worst I have seen in the VAFA! Your a drisgrace and deserve no respect what so ever! Do you all lick the windows in the bus on the way home, because you all act like people who would! Although I do sympathise with you... mental scarring anyone? A few things start to go wrong in a game and Reds crack.

Reds are by far the most deserving for the flag, been the best team for two years. But god wont it be good if that pathetic bunch of bogans manage to let this one slip!

1) That comment is just appalling.
2) St Bernards are widely regarded the worst 'mob' in most VAFA leagues... not too many would dispute that, and I think it has even come out through this forum...

ridiculous steve babo not in that team - most talented player in the competition

hared is not that good please don't compliment him, he is already arrogant enough

My thoughts on this weeks game....

I know what I am about to say is only going to cause mayhem but the two teams playing this week are the best two teams in the comp.

Westbourne is going to put the fear of god into dela and the fitzroy on lookers this week and serve up another shalacking to a team that finished in the top four.

Westbourne's size and strength will just be to great and will out muscle dela. Dela will stay with Westbourne up until half time when then Westbourne will just unleash and gallop away from Dela leaving them for dead.

Game is being played at St.Bernards on Saturday so be sure to get there to watch an interesting football game.

I agree scout, OW have been producing their best football over the last month and are the form team of the competition. De La are still the only team they are yet to beat. Should be a very fiery encounter.

3 OW players in the team of the year. Templeton not there? very surprising. If he is not the best ruck in the comp he is definately second. Im sure Biggsy would agree to that. He has been OW's best this year. and will probably take out the B&F.

I will definately agree to that, every time I witnessed him play he tore the opposition appart. I cant think of a player that either Dela or Reds have that would keep him quiet.

i think in the midfield it should be almost garuanteed Anthony Torre the number 10 from Old Xavs. Everyteam was aware of him and he still killed it. He would have won the best and fairest by a mile but he missed 4 games. He should be a guaren.

peace gtrain

OW by 29 or so - good game by all accounts, though De La kind of dropped their heads a bit in the last quarter which extended the margin.

All eyes on the Snakepit next Sunday when the bleary-eyed and hung-over Westbourne seniors and reserves head down to celebrate what could be a triple-header!

Can OW overcome the best defence in the section? Will the Reds go in a little too confident? Who knows?

Head to head:
Round 6, Brunswick St, Reds 12.15.87 OW 10.16.76
Round 12, McHale Stadium, Reds 8.8.56 OW 10.11.71

Should be a bloody cracker and I for one will be there in the OW cheer squad! Go Warriors!

matt biggs is clearly an outstanding player of what i have watched of him, hes kickin skills stand out, but i believe there team to be a much more even team across the ground. Dave Mcmullin is m reliable in defence as his dave lee but a player who has not been noticed is Tom Pinchen-Hogg, he has gotten close to the most possesions each game and gives the fitzroy reds drive out of defence as does williams. Pinchen - hogg's disposals requires improvement no doubt but i can see him being the trump card for fitzroy as westbourne will not focus on him. they might need to be watched they arent name the best defence in the league for nothing. westbourne are also a very even team and have a simialr style of game as fitzroy- there ruckmen has shown great abilty around the ground always filling holes in defence and pushing forward acting to attack.there little forwads have proofed to be very clever and opportunistic- the little blonde guy has impressed me with the smarts he has around goals in games i have watched.

Fitzroy by 2 goals is my verdict what do u think

fitzroy by 1 goal i believe

"Tom Pinchen-Hogg, he has gotten close to the most possesions each game"

are you kidding?
the guy gets a fair bit of the footy, but to say he gets more than or close to more than every other player is wrong.
His disposal count is consistently lower than harbor, dimond, cheshire, angiolella, biggs and hared

It is going to be a very interesting battle between Biggs and Templeton in the ruck this week. The B&F results adding a bit of spice to the dual. The winner of that contest will go a long way in determining the result of the game you would think.

Fair call Akka, but since none of the top five nominated any players, or sent back any feedback at all during the season, i am not sure you can complain much- would only have taken one email or one post on bigfooty- and neither Torre not templeton appeared until after the team was named. Except for some Reds v Bernards crap which i suspect was fueled from people outside either have enjoyed the regular posters on this site. notable mikehunt ratpit weapon chump kings akka. Good luck to both teams this weekend. I have tipped Angiolella to snap a goal in the dying seconds to win the a thriller- lets see how it rolls. From the Scribe.
