surely he will be right to go round 4-5? that 3 months away. What is recovery like for this kind of operation?

Sam Wright has undergone minor surgery on his ankle.

North GM of Football Cameron Joyce said the 26-year-old’s right ankle had been causing him some concerns in the pre-season, the opposite ankle to which was operated on mid-year.

“Sam’s pre-season will obviously be impacted which is certainly not ideal, however, we’re really confident he’ll be available to play and have an impact in the early stages of our 2017 season,” Joyce told NMFC.com.au.

“The surgery was minor and we hope to see him back to full training in about two months all going to plan.”

Wright played eight games in 2016, before injuring his left ankle against Richmond in Round 11.

This surgery better fix it all. Will go apeshit if it requires more surgery after this.

Has been going on too long
It's the other (R) ankle from what I can glean from this article.

I got a lot of time for him, but it's not the first time the club have missed a broken bone in Sam's ankle.
SS is not the doc, he is a top-notch physio, and isn't this a new injury on the other ankle?
