Kekovich confirming at the end of that article he doesn't mind sharing a 1975 premiership reunion with people who weren't 1975 premiership players, as long as they are men.

Meanwhile John Burns takes exception to what happens when you lie down with dogs.

Would you happen to know why we have a gold premiership cup?
And why does the club recognise 2025 as the 59th year of the Grand Final Breakfast, given it started in 1967?

Precedence laid out by both the AFL and NMFC suggests commemoration of recurring events (like number of seasons contested, number of games played, number of annual breakfasts staged) are timed differently to one-off milestones like a specific premiership or the founding of a club.

Some might believe it's good that precedence is being flouted in the "100 years in the VFL/AFL" celebrations, but it is being flouted nonetheless.

Hmm more birthday talk, as if the birth of the club is what's being celebrated.

The "face with the spiral eyes" emoji is a devastating retort though.

As long as they played in that season is my read of it. I doubt I'd be invited.

I’m Teen Wolf and I’m celebrating the 1st Year Anniversary of the NMFC 2024 AFLW Premiership eventhough it hasn’t been a year since we won the flag. 😵‍💫

This is that Honkys fault isn’t it?

Good news for Sam the turncoat then, he'll enjoy the 1977 runners-up reunion!

But, ya know, if he wanted to catch up with players who didn't play in the '75 premiership, he could've just come to the celebrations being put on by the club...

It might shock you to know that some of us support the W team but also think the club has bungled this.

I count myself amongst these.

I am a massive supporter and proponent of the AFLW team. They should absolutely be considered equal and worthy of celebrating as part of the event celebrating our 100 year history.

The 1975 anniversary celebration is separate entirely, deserved a stand-alone event, and the club has bungled it.

You're like the 3rd person who has responded to me with a dumb "diss ain't about da dubya team".

ITT I have said:

A celebration for the club's 100th season in the VFL/AFL should've been done last year (and put on by the league).

Invited guests should make their best efforts to attend major milestone celebrations put on by the club, even if the club didn't get the celebrations quite right.

Seriously. Read my posts rather than just reacting to the profile pic.

I'll wear my historic Russell Athletic jumper with the upside down printed AFL logo to the game. That logo sums up my feelings towards the AFL perfectly.
