Thanks, i havn't seen a Collingwood premiership, watching things like that makes me want one even more. I didn't know I could want one more but it seems I do.

Thanks again, good viewing.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

There is a video (from Australian Football Video) called 'The Road to Victory'. It plots our progress through the whole of the 1990 season, with plenty of footage devoted to all our finals that year. It also has some great footage of the Vic. Park celebrations the day after the GF and is superbly narrated by (a very young) Eddie. Get it if you can.

Thanks for posting that. I was 3... don't remember it. :(

But I'll remember 2008, I'll remember it forever. Go the Pies!

I picked it up for 2 bucks from a DVD shop in Sydney that was closing down. the guy looked at me like even that was too much to pay. LOL:thumbsu:

really? how clearly? lucky you,

i think the earliest memory of afl i have maybe 93 or 94.

Mid 1990, Pies have won 9 straight, Hoggy goes to see his first game live, Pies lose to a Steven Kolyniuk goal. Sums up Hoggy's AFL viewing history.

I started Vickick in 1990, I can remember stuff from late 89 too.

Tears all round at my house. What a top clip.
Craig Starcevich was canned a bit back then but he would have been norm smith had he not come off concussed. He is the last CHF we've had, until now...mmmmm Trav. Might be time again.

BEST. DAY. EVER!!!!
I was 8 and still remember every part of that day. I was distraught when that ferral Daniher knocked out Gavin Brown but was so happy when he made it back out on the field.

I still miss Darren. Jimmy Clement marked the ball in the exact same spot during a game this year and was looking into the sun and made the same movements with his arms and it reminded me of Darren.

Such a great team! Such a great day - imagine if it happened again!!!!

I got goosebumps after the melee when Brown was concussed... And than again when he comes back on goes straight to Danniher to remonstrate, probably telling him to look at the scoarboard. And a third time when he kicks a goal.

Actually had goosebumps all the way through, great vid.

Great Video. God I hope that another one is not too far away, my road to victory VHS is starting to wear out!

I was only 5 at the time, I can remember the day but not really the game itself. I sat there in front of the TV by myself because my Dad could not bring himself to watch it. He didnt even come and look until the final siren had sounded. Apparently he had been at the 1970 grand final and left to go and celebrate at the pub at half time. He woke up the next day to be told the pies lost. So i guess i dont blame him for not getting his hopes up in 1990!

Absolutely brilliant!

My fav in that clip was seeing Bobby with a tear in his eye.

I remember saying to my mate at half time. "gee we're a real chance"

At 3Q time, "We couldn't lose it from here, could we??"

Then when Sir Douglas of Barwick kicked that goal, I knew we had it & I exploded with joy & tears.

How good was it to have the big angry ruckman in Monkhorst! He asserted himself often in his career and took a backward step to no one!

I'd just turned 20. My brother & a couple of mates were living in Rafael st, next door to the Carringbush Hotel in Abbotsford. We dragged the tv & couch out into the street to watch the game. As the shadows lenthened, we kept having to move the couch further and further back onto the street, until we were in the middle of the road! Cars just went round, with a bemused toot of the horn. after the game we replayed the video over and over, and had crowds of strangers from the pub out the front watching (and through the house too! it was a night when everyone were mates) I'll never forget that night as long as I live.
