you did too - but thankfully your mob forced the issue - otherwise Basheer and the SANFL would still be twiddling their thumbs in 2005 trying to make a decision to join the AFL

Another thread hi-jacked by people who claim not to care about our club. Sigh.

Back to 1991 - my memories (I've got the tape too):

* That win over Carlton in the mud at Princes Park was great.
* Jammo kicking 8 in the last game v North Melbourne.
* Can't go past the adrenaline of Round 1 v Hawthorn. Especially Smarty handing Dunstall his a$$ on a platter.
* John Klug. Played his career like he was stuck in first gear.
* A young S.Rehn debuting v Sydney at the park. Man was he skinny back then.
* The win over Sydney at the SCG.
* Nigel Smart with hair streaming out of defence.

Funnily enough I still have that video. Havent watched it for about 5-6 years tho.

That Fitzroy game at Footy Park was a classic. One of the coldest, wettest, windiest nights ive been to a Footy match in, about 20,000 of the 31,000 people walk out during the last quarter, the uproar over the umpiring in the last 2 minutes, the uproar over the fact the Crowd started a "cheat, cheat, cheat" chant in the third quarter, then Jamos goal and the large commotion by Don Scott and Peter Mckenna in the commentary box.

I also remember how they used to play "her we go, here we go, camry crows" after every goal the Crows kicked...which came in around half way thru the season.

The thumping of Hawthorn...then them thumping the Crows back in the return bout (8.11 to 0.1 at 1/4 time).

I also remember the St Kilda game later in the year when Plugger was going for his 100....all throughout the night over the speaker the announcer kept saying "anyon that runs onto the oval will be fined and kicked out". When he got his 100 one solitary lady tried running onto the oval and got about 5 metres before 10 bouncers jumped on her.

The game I remember most about that year was probably the Essendon trial game and the Brisbane game mid year. Dont know why, but both those stick out.

Cry me a river AW, and tell someone who cares, population NO ONE

We all know who shafted whom in the SANFL/ AFL relationship. And somehow your mob still got the second licence.

Norwood/Sturt…..much better entity and a lot more teeth as well.
Pfffffttt. Hehe. Ahh the bluelegs.

Thanks to all for their positive comments and responding to the original idea of the thread. To the bitter twisted people who still can't get over the 1990 debarcle, get over it!
