Im sure that the Bulldogs will look very seriously at a tall forward with their first pick and Henderson could fill that bill.
I think Melbourne will more than likely go midfield first and then look at defenders. I dont think clubs will draft Rance top 5.

If we were to take a ruckman with our first pick, I'd like someone like Laycock who is a pure ruckman, not someone who can play all over the place. We have too many of them who do nothing in most positions.

Dont be surprised if he goes in the draft, would even be happy for essendon to redraft him late or PSD. He is now injury free and has killed them in the VFL, something that even Hille couldnt do. If he was injury free he wouldnt have been delisted.

We need a genuine ruckman and genuine KP backman and mids to strengthen our emerging youngsters.

Cartledge still has the same old problems. His kicking is all over the place and he still cant time his jumps at center bounces. I hope we are not looking at him.

I'm standing by my post that you will select Mcevoy. I know those of you who saw him have a quiet one on GF day don't want him, but the wraps on him are pretty good and building a good young spine seems a logical building block to future success.

If you don't select him I will find a new provider of office supplies!!

Your claims are interesting as I have been told by a very reliable source (an employee of the footy club who is also a relative of one of our more high profile players) as recently as last night that if Palmer is still available then we will draft him faster than an Alwyn Davey run down the wing. Lock Palmer in if he is still there.

Will be an interesting top ten thats for sure.

I 50% agree with you. We will either get McEvoy with our first pick, then pick mids. Or we'll go for a mid and draft a project ruckman late on.

I hope it is the mid. :thumbsu:

Palmer would be great!

Seems good with the contested ball... And that is what the good teams do well...


Also hope Kyle Cheney gets picked up somewhere!

PALMER!! He is exactly what we need. He can play as both inside and outside mid. Also can kick goals and we can use him like the saints use gram! Pick him up. He is alot like Cooney. If u see him play, u would be amazed. In the W.A vs Vic match (the game between all the best players from states), he was the best on the ground with about 30 possies and 4 goals. IMO, he should be top 3, it would be a steal! Essendon's problem is that they don't have a stand out gun mid. Someone who is fast and dominates. Palmer fits this category perfectly!

He had 35 touches and 5 goals actually. The whole W.A side dominated, Palmer had the endurance and desire to run all over them all day. I dont think he is extremely quick like some advertise, however he is a nice pace and has the ability to link up and get involved. Seems to be the favourite for pick 6 at the moment with Myers not far behind.
