We always cop the Saturday or Sunday of a long weekend! We go down the coast so we miss round 1. Carlton Richmond play Thursday so they don't miss and Collingwood and Essendon play interstate which is perfect for their fans away for the weekend, because they don't miss anything. And then they look at just the numbers and say "why don't their fans turn up?" This crap just goes on year after bloody year.

Heard today that the CEO was up in Cairns for a potential announcement today.
I assume that means we will play another game up there next year.
With the Ballarat deal begining in 2017, this should be the last interstate home deal we ever have to sell.

All part of our master plan for 11 home Friday night games by 2020.

Jay clark tweeting an article title 'dogs to become tv darlings in 2016' sounds like 3 Friday nights and up to 8 Saturday nights! wowee.

WESTERN Bulldogs will become footy’s television darlings next season.

The Dogs will play half of their games at night in 2016.

The Herald Sun can reveal Luke Beveridge’s men are slated to play three Friday night games and up to eight Saturday night games.

The increased night time exposure rewards the Dogs for their meteoric rise to finals next season.

The final details of the Dogs’ 2016 run are still being finalised as the league conducts last-minute talks with clubs.

More to come..

Sounds great but not gonna get ahead of myself yet, television darlings sounds like were probably gonna get a lot of our fridays and saturdays interstate so we're on TV but the AFL still gets their big crowd that theyre desperate for at Adelaide Oval or Subi stc.

On a tangential note.

THE WESTERN Bulldogs will play a home game for a third consecutive year against Gold Coast in Cairns.

The round 17 match looms as the Dogs' final home fixture in far-north Queensland, with the club pushing to play up to three home games in Ballarat from 2017.

The Cazalys Stadium clash will be played totally under lights for the first time, with the previous two encounters twilight contests.

"We know the people of Cairns love their footy as much as we do, and we wanted to give them a new experience of playing at night with a 7.25pm start," Bulldogs CEO David Stevenson said on Tuesday, ahead of the 2016 fixture release on Thursday.

Not too dissimilar to 2015.

I know its great for the club financially but it sort of sucks that were gonna have 3 less melbourne home games a season
Better than going to Canberra and Darwin every year like we did in the Eade days.

Might miss out on seats some games at Ballarat, but others we should get, imo it's a way better alternative, we just need to make it a fortress when we start playing there.

Doesn't sound like we will be playing the Hawks in Launnie this year, as they are scheduled to play the Blues and Saints according to the local paper.

Lol, gotta look after the champs percentage...
