I've got absolutely no idea who we would've drafted...nobody does.

But draftguru will tell you what the chances are of getting quality players at each selection.

Pick-8 averages 105 career games.
Pick-14 averages 95 games.
Pick-21 averages 69 games.
Pick-31 averages 67 games.

So based on a long history of averages across 40 drafts, we could've expected 336 career games from the picks we gave away for TT and Hopper.....no idea what quality, that's just the games played averages.

We can dream we would've got 4 x stars with those picks....reality is we probably would've got 1 very good or elite player, another B-grader plus 2 x duds.

If we just did the TT trade we'd be cheering, so that trade was more than fine given he was 24yo and has played really good football and looks to have 5+ quality years left.

So to me it's just the Hopper trade that has turned sour....and we got Steely Green as part of that so even that's not a complete write-off.

Except Greene repeatedly goes missing in big games.

Taranto was definitely the Giants BOG in the 2019 GF. Hopper would've been in their best 3 or 4 in that GF, as he was in their PF vs Collingwood in 2018 and their 2021 semi vs Geelong.

They did have a great result in that game

If only they came out in the media and said they were called the "F@%%&#" word so Hoppoate could get banned for 10? Weeks (or however long Laura Kane deems worthy so we don't hurt anyone's feelings)?

I can't see any other way of dislodging cement boots from the midfield otherwise. I'm really over the Dejavu of Hopper disappointment!!

More likely to get a handball coming at your feet, or a kick 10 metres wide of the target when delivered by slow olds Hopper.
I'm over it and him .... resigned to the fact he is our for three more years and will always be taking midfield time away from other s as you can't hide him anywhere else and Yze has hitched his wagon to him.

He was better than he has been. Still a few bad moments, and there was one play where I realised that him sprinting is slower than a grandma walking. But yeah overall it was a reasonably good game from him
