At the game, he looked better than Taranto did with the old eye test

Seemed to have a better game, I will have to look at the replayAt the game, he looked better than Taranto did with the old eye test
Much better game. Still a limited player if he could improve his ball use it would help us immensely.Seemed to have a better game, I will have to look at the replay
Early days, but get your forks ready boys.Going to predict he will make a lot of us (include me) eat some humble pie next year

Can’t under sell what having these guys around as leaders provides alsoIs playing well , GC no1 contested side in comp , on back of TT and hop we took it to them last night and beat them for contested ball was instrumental in the win

We’d be well and truly fkd with plans for likes of will Brodie and fiorini to helpCan’t under sell what having these guys around as leaders provides also![]()
And remember the calls on this board for Luke Dunstan and Brayden Sier? We’d be well and truly fkd with plans for likes of will Brodie and fiorini to help
thought he had a good game on the weekendfinally getting the repayments from hopper having a sound and fit body.
Can only imagine how he feels to be able to get consistency in his footy.
Would be in our top 5 for B&F this year, great to see.
we chased cerra hard, glad we were outbidWe’d be well and truly fkd with plans for likes of will Brodie and fiorini to help
you must have missed it when he came flying out of a scrambly pack with 2 suns in pursuit, slipped while turning sharply and threaded a rocket 30m jab pass to taranto in the corridor which set up a goal to us or when he was 52m out and took responsibility for the kick and banged thru for a vital goal v carlton.Much better game. Still a limited player if he could improve his ball use it would help us immensely.
Serpell deserves a lot of credit for getting our boys match fit. He’s worked on the running techniques of our players.finally getting the repayments from hopper having a sound and fit body.

Not only that but we expected the team to continue challenging, so that F1(8) was expected to be about Pick 14.Please remember the Hopper trade was pick 31 and a F1 (8) for Hopper and 2 x later picks, where we took Steely Green and K Smith. Green is coming along nicely and Hopper playing very good footy and showing the way for the kids…. he’s also only on about $750k which is not even in the top-150 paid of comp from 2026 onwards.
If we don’t have Hopper and TT then guess what … we’d be trading for the likes of Parker, Shiels, Darling, Fisher, Daniel, Stephens, Corr, Logue and friends to provide leadership…..
They no1 contested team by some margin too , so to go toe to toe and come up trumps is a mighty effort , first half v freo went well too just wilted in sec halfThis bloke was ****ing huge against the most in form midfield in the comp!!!
RFC been a fit football team for years. Often out run oppo teams win lose or draw. I think Serpell was focusing on repeat sprints. D. Rioli is the repeat/sprint king. Last game Hugo & Broad RFC top sprinters. Rioli, Jeffrey & Miller theirs.Serpell deserves a lot of credit for getting our boys match fit. He’s worked on the running techniques of our players.
And it’s showing dividends with Lynch and Hopper being injury free for the first time in a long time.
the appointment of meehan felt wrong from the get go. just promoting the nearest guy without a thorough recruitment process to find the best available. glad we finally made the right call before he ruined any careers (gibcus on life support).Clearly getting rid of Louie the Butcher has done wonders for many on our list. Who'd have thought replacing a Bozo who got a Cert 2 in personal training from Groupon for $29 with someone highly regarded with credentials to back it up would pay dividends. No one has benefited more than Hopper, who's stringing together a great consistent season. Before the season I was cool with trading him out and taking a loss on him.
The way he's going he'll be critical in our rebuild and 4 more years after this one will help take the pressure off the young developing mids we already have as well as the extra couple we'll draft this year. He's chugging along nicely so far, hopefully can stay injury free all year. His and Taranto's $5mil 7 year ($714k) deals are turning out to be wise investments. Duds who can't even get a game like Leek Aleer are now getting offered $900k. Last year Cumming & Perryman got $900k and nobody even knew who they were.
100% looks to have really immersed himself in the club and is playing good footy , mixing it with some reputed mids most weeks , I said a while ago with a void of big names and reputations now at the club whether he and TT feel more at easeHopper is so impressive in the media and you can tell he is a very important part of the team's culture. I called it very early with Kane lambert and I reckon hopper has coaching and leadership potential too. His attitude and energy is first rate! And his performances have improved nicely this season too. He is crucial to this rebuild.
It looks like he tries his guts out more than anyone else. It's great to see. his willingness to buy in has to do with the confidence he has with his body now.It looks like he tries his guts out more than anyone else. It's great to see. Hope he can continue to stay fit
