So we cannot expect anyone from the most recent draft to debut in 2025?

If we do, then it's likely going to be a huge bonus for us coz we've got excellent depth now and for a first year player to get a game, outside us having a mountain of injuries, then there's every likelihood he's got some real talent and upside.

The only one that strikes me as a smokey to push for a debut is Hofmann but I haven't seen them up close

Hopefully we get to see most of the first year players play some minutes in a preseason game to get some clue or guide, just in case there's one that maybe a bit of a stand out...... here's hoping !!!

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a debutant or two, but not sure they'll become permanent fixture in our 23 during this up coming season

I think they'd prioritise getting games into O'Sullivan and shuffle others around before they'd play Polkinghorne early
Yeah that's a reasonable point, as I could see SDK or J.Henry rotating forward in that situation. With their swingman potential it just about covers us. But there's no doubt losing Hawkins and Rohan leaves us with less tall forward depth than we've had for a while.

I've been thinking about Blicavs as a KPF, no idea what our ruck situation should look like

My money has been on Retschko since we drafted him. We need another winger, and he has elite running capability and an AFL ready body. Reckon he gets a game or two this year - if he can work on his disposal.

If the first two rounds of 2025 has showed us anything, it is that the Crows' forward line looks absolutely dynamic with the tall brigade they have.

Does this mean Polkinghorne will get a game this year? No. A lot would need to go right with him and a bit would have to go wrong with one or two of our other talls.

Anything is possible, though. And, I should add, if his highlight reel shows anything, it's that the lad has a great set of dukes on him. Also, a great vertical leap.

I feel as though this kid's chance won't come until after Jezza retires. Either that, or one of Henry or Neale have a very poor patch of form rendering themselves unselectable.
