As I keep saying, a debt laden club that becomes effectively insolvent isn't going to fold or be forcibly merged or relocated, only the mentally infirm and Richmond supporters think that.

But imagine CEO Simon Lethlean in the months after the AFL refuses to guarantee the debt any more and refuses the increased distributions (or cuts it back to what North/Dogs get, rendering the Saints insolvent) and says, no, for more money we will run the show from here.

There's things worse than death and becoming an AFL owned and run zombie club is on.

The AFL is a socialist model. Socialism always fails because it punishes the successful by reducing them to the lowest common denominator. Socialism also promotes 'causes' at the expense of all eg Women's footy.

The AFL copied NFL/NBA re cap and draft but it forgot one very clear difference in America they are privately owned and have to actually pay their own way. If they don't they get sold and/or relocated to new markets.

AFL was always going to end up in crap but the corona virus has just accelerated it. Now all will pay, just like all pay in any socialist model.

No, 1 Melbourne club needs to fold, or at the very least merge with another. That opens the door for a stand alone club in Tasmania. Not sure how that will affect the bottom lines of both Hawthorn and North as they have become reliant on the income generated (via the Tasssie govt.) from their Tassie "home games" (what is that income anyway, $1M a game?)

Then again, who gives a f$&k about that? Certainly not Tasmanians.

Let’s say at University you are a full member if you study 4 subjects; if you study 1 subject you are still a member butt you are 1/4 of a member. How many of the supposed 75,000 are full members. Do they have 3 game memberships in which case they are 1/6 of a member. It is a duplicitous scam
