I ripped into him after his first 5 minutes but he played a damn solid game after that.

Ball was like touch footy there at times. Team fought back which is what we've been wanting to see.

Heens works so hard up and down the ground, stepped up when we needed him in the 2nd qtr. Chad still giving me the pips with silly things.

Thought it was the most confident we looked all year. Shades of last year with our foot skills and ball movement. Real calm in defence and rebounded well, Cunners Mills and TMac were great at ground level and off the spillage.

Nice to see a big scalp before the seasons end.

Strange feeling. We were almost the laughing stock of all other teams supporters after that last few minutes, but we should have absolutely iced the game 10 minutes earlier but stuffed up so many good chances forward.

We were the better team for the majority of the game, so disappointing it was so close in the end.

When we were on though, we almost looked like our 2024 best!

Nearly undid the great work in the last 5 minutes and we won't want to get beaten like that in the middle too often but great win regardless.

That was 2024-esque from Heeney. More importantly, our defence was outstanding.

I think we can say that Sheldrick has the tools to be that elite inside bull we've been crying out for.

It was sloppy at times but don't think the conditions helped.

It's good that we're still going even when finals are all but dead. Puts us in decent stead for next year.
