I really enjoy Jeff White's analysis on the game. Surely there has to be an assiatants role for him somewhere.

Agreed, he is actually quite good at picking apart plays, would be a quality coach I would think.

it would be slightly comical though to have mostly ruckman as the coach and assistants. Throw in a Lade and King, go for broke!! Better than midfielders and back pockets!!

The swans played in a way that Brisbane didn't expect. Nor were coached to expect IMO.
They lost their shape all over the ground.

When we were at our devastating best last year, it was the relentless, team-wide run that stood out. So this style of play isn’t especially new for us. Maybe there was a bit more use of handball against Brisbane than we saw last year. You do need all 18 players in sync, though. If a couple slack off it gets picked apart.

JMac’s pace and endurance is pretty central to the team being able to execute this. I wonder whether theylll be able to reproduce it on Sunday without him. Corey is probably the most like-for-like replacement in terms of pure athletic attributes but he’s not got the smarts, confidence and experience of JMac.

The way they moved the ball was actually better than last year - I just hope they don’t just rely on the ‘slingshot’ idea.

Like for like but Corey's probably a better kick. The issue is more about whether he can slide into the team mindset. Having our leaders back has really gelled the team together.
