I want to win and do our best but if Grundy is under any sort of cloud I think we put him in cotton wool for next year,
Ladhams can ruck for 2 weeks. We need Brodie next season fit

I think quite a few of those were on McClean. Gardiner was on Buller quite a bit.

Which ironically was mainly opposed to Andrew’s that day!!

I actually thought Buller was very good at competing, halved his contests mainly, reckon he is an upgrade on McLean and has better play around the ground
Not until he can kick like McLean.

This match was just stacked with great team play highlights, probably peaking with Mills -> Heeney speccy -> Warner clean rove from McLean contest -> goal.

The Gulden mark at the top of the d50 into the quick handball chain that leads to Campbell goal.
The play down the far wing that ended in the Grundy goal was also unreal.

Dean Cox on SEN just now said Grundy is in concussion protocols and is out this week.

While all the commentary has been about our slingshot game, I think the favourite part of the game for me was our revival in the second half of Q2. We seemed to slow it right down, play down the wing and wait till we found the right moment to get to Heeney in the pocket.

Sure, that tactic relies on having someone as crazily gifted as Isaac, but he was just good to see us having a plan B after a couple of efforts of switching play came horribly unstuck.

Awesome win, loved Chad's game.

Agree on Rampe, was important late again, he is not staggering to the finish line as such. A one year deal makes sense, worst case he can help provide leadership for the 2’s.

Importantly he is still best 22 and has been solid, mostly beating his man, less intercepting and spoiling than we have seen in the past though.
Three great intercept marks in the last qr demonstrated his footy smarts remain invaluable. Two efforts where he couldn't bend over to get the ball (one cost a goal, another a shot that missed) suggests physically it will be more of a challenge. Just hope both sides are being honest with each other in the 2026 discussion.

Listening to Fagan's presser I'm not surprised. Weird take. Andrews had a pretty good game but not a 4. Sheldrick and Ashcroft ended up about right but should have been 2-1, 1-2 or similar. Swans defenders deserved something, not just Blakey. Dunkley ran with Heeney and got murdered. Wonder which Lion Cox gave 2? 🤷

I'm gobsmacked Chad didn't get votes. OTOH, Will Ashcroft is some kinda player. The difference in media attention that he gets versus Nick Daicos is disproportionate to the difference in their potential and impact.

And when it wasn't Dunkley coughing up goals to Heeney, it was Wilmott!

Could be the fact that Chad was damaging for us at times, but also the most damaging for the Lions at times with some of his disposal/decisions.

Not sure how Gulden got a vote for the same reason.
