Scores continue to drop. We'll be back at 2015 levels very shortly. So much for the rule changes.
Don't think the style of game is the problem Podgey, Pies are just huge fairweather supporters.

I was talking about scores. They continue to plummet and we'll be back at 2015 averages soon. Same goes for crowds though. The three lowest crowd averages for a round were in the last six weeks, and this round will probably feature as well.

Shit, the AFL must be in serious trouble then as we still have the highest average attendance...

Shut your dirty mouth, I've been to more of your games to help your minnow club anyway
We get more than 20k against Freo, I'd be careful using the term minnow ;)

I'd be careful starting a war you can't win, pal. Remember that before you close your eyes tonight.

Hands up anyone else with 1500 wins?

Yeah that's what I thought bitches!

add to that reserved seating (compared to the old days (90's and before) of first in best dressed) meaning anyone who might have chosen to go tonight was gonna get a shit seat, plus the multitude of anti footy issues prevailing (old and new) at present.
the draw was rigged this year to make the numbers look good early but the bad crowd numbers are becoming common. and they will get worse.

the game is in trouble at present. something significant has to change before it gets better. but thats years away.
In fairness is was cold as ****

Just doing my bit to prop up their pitiful crowd
You're a good man NL

I actually watched the game on TV to help boost the probable low TV audience also

Just doing our bit to help minnow clubs out ;)

What war? I just stated that it was a shit crowd (which it was). As a supporter of a club yet to have a home attendance that low this year I'm very qualified to comment.

That one never changes, insert any big 4 clash on a Friday/Saturday night or Anzac Day or Geel/Haw on Easter Monday etc in the first 8-9 rounds. Means the Dogs, Saints, Dees and North are regularly playing against interstate sides on Saturday/Sunday afternoons early in the year or among themselves. Norf were actually on Foxtel the first 5 weeks of the year and played 4 interstate sides in that time with only the Dees as the only Victorian team. I guess we were lucky this year playing many an Etihad tenant "away" the first 7 weeks as we are getting more exposure than previous years through our rebuild.

Then comes June/July etc and the big teams are playing interstate teams because the $FL have ran out available "blockbusters" to schedule until later in the year once everyone has played each other and no one rocks up to these games, like tonight or Essendon vs GWS last week, or poorly scheduled games occur like Norf vs Richmond on a freezing Hobart Friday Night 3 weeks ago which should have been played earlier in the year, instead they make them play the Dees there in April on a Sunday afternoon, like if you're going to play a night game in Tassie do it early in the year, same logic applies with early season games at the Gabba/Metricon, don't bake the players on Saturday/Sunday afternoons there until May.

The game revolves around TV and profit too much though. The good old days of the 90s was you'd have your stand alone Friday and Saturday night games, then everyone else played on Saturday or Sunday afternoons, but the downside was most of our clubs were struggling financially back then, these days not so much as the $FL props up most clubs, exposure now is the issue for clubs going forward imo.

Say it to my face

It seems to be the case this year, whereas last year's crowd averages were more consistent.

Collingwood supporters are boycotting AFL games.

I'd say it's a culmination of poor weather, people boycotting due to Ed's comments, the team playing like absolute dog shit but mostly people telling the club to sack Nafan.
This is the new trend in footy started by SA teams.Dont bother to turn up to games.
Eddie and his club have decided to ride the new wave of footy behaviour.
Next thing they will be listing confirmed drugsters.
