So i can only put $20 on tonights footy now.

Lol that sucks, that happened to me once but in reverse. I put $100 on a mlb game of total runs being over 10. Total runs was 4 but my bet got refunded because a different pitcher started to the one that was named. Was kinda lucky.

THAT is dumb... i've lost 27 bucks in the pursuit of 6 bucks.


i'm usually a punter that looks for more bargains than what the premise of this 'game' seeks - last season i was very succesful doing it, ending up 600% better off over the course of the season. im just not used to punting on anything that won't give me $1.85 as a single bet... i'll usually look for a points difference or something.

i don't even usually put them in multis, cos they don't realy add any value

i'm using the sports bet account on a horse race, and i'm not punting my full amount.

so of my $34 after consecutive wins, $20 of it is going on ortensia in the first at randwick today paying $1.75. ALL the mail is pointing towards a win - there is only one other horse in the race in single figure odds. sure, i've been burnt backing short priced favourites in horse racing many times before... but he looks a good thing

i'm still in the game - just.

as i said earlier today, i broke the rules and put 20 of my $34 kitty on a horse that was a moral - and lost.

i took the remaining $14, put half on essendon under -39.5 (not looking good), $3 on all silent in the 6th at randwick, and $3 on danleigh in the same race.

he got up and paid $8.50, giving me $28 to play with!

i'm going to wait til essendon's game results, then i shall again break the rules and split the bet in half - half on liverpool to beat hull at $1.35 and half on man u to beat tottenham at $1.45


edit: aaaand... the kitty is now at $53!

Was going to bet on Liverpool but was too late, oh well. I think Man U will win, but there is a chance it will be a draw, so i'll take the soft option and take Man U head 2 head

haven't got a follow up bet yet... i'm not getting on geelong. $1.16 is too short for me, and in the apparent conditions in melbourne, they should be longer than that.

D4E, I've actually built my account with one lot of bets to $40, but lost the other ones like you.

What do you think of splitting up the $40 into seperate $20 bets again?

yeah, my bets will all be split from now on... i'm at a point now where my bets are lucrative enough if split in half. and when you're betting on teams at better than $1.40 or less, you'd be awfully unlucky if they both lose.

i had 3 $16 bets last nite... i'll probably be doing a bit more of that.

in fact, for me tonight... i'm going even softer than that... 4x$17 bets

arsenal to beat middlesborough at $1.45 (i'm not actually too confident on this one)
milan to beat palermo at $1.44
inter to beat napoli with draw no bet at $1.33 (odds shortened from $1.40 as i was making the bet )
juve to beat regina with draw no bet at $1.28

and chucked the remaining $3 into a multi with all those 4 teams to win straight out, as well as real madrid to beat sevilla - risk, to be sure... but any game where real are paying $2.50 - get on it! multi is paying $18.11

OK sweet. I put 20 on Arsenal, and the other 20 on Cleveland to beat Detroit in the NBA. Cavs were at 1.20, Arsenal at 1.45.

i love this challenge! i've already won on milan and arsenal tonight, got my money back on the juve/regina draw, and still have inter to go. although juve buggered my multi

i've put 20 on real madrid at "half ball" (team can win or draw) at $1.48... i can't understand why real's odds are so poor. yeah, they've been a bit crap this season (particularly in champions league)... but in la liga, they've won their last 3 and sevilla have lost their last thre...
