Too late for me; 2012 EF was the last straw, in terms of results and crowds. But I'll enjoy wearing my gear on my weeks trip to Perth. Winning = grinning = gloating.

I'd probably be in the slammer too if I'd been there. ******* WA crowds!

You should celebrate balls and all this week Kimbo. Get royal blue and white striped body painted for your trip to Perth, sans clothing.

Made the trip over. Worst crowd ever. I can't help myself and was giving it back - as my wife tried to restrain me.

They were rude and inappropriate - which just made it all that sweeter when we ran over them in the last. The atmosphere of shock and disbelief that pervaded as the game slipped away was amusing really. Sweet.

So insular. Completely one eyed and unable to perceive any other element to the game that was not completely Freocentric. Some of them really should get out more often.

Given all that, probably the best (home and away) win I've been to.

They are truly shitful. I can't believe their obsession with umpiring decisions, which wouldn't be so bad if they were a bit more insightful. Shockers indeed!

Edit: they are also quick to quieten down the moment they're looking shaky. You'd think they were 10 goals down. Weak-aaaaarse! (Freeeooo).

Believe it or not, the Freo crowds are better than the Eagles.

The Eagles are the worst in the AFL

Great win by the boys

Just saw Drewys clutch goal in the last. ****in loved the behind the goal shot from the faithful on the 2nd level. Sea of Blue there. Sensational!!
+1 to this post AND to this thread. I was really happy with how many of us were there and how vocal they were. So glad our WA brethren had some joy! Watching a win like that stays with you forever and sincerely rapt you guys got to experience it.

Seriously what a great win. This is big. Beating Freo in Perth is huge. Not only our long suffering W.A. Fans deserve this, we all deserve this. Sure there is a long way to go and things to still improve but finally I'm seeing some light at the end of the Brad Scotts tunnell. Testicles crossed I have smeared faeces on my face and he takes us to the promise land. :stern look

And what a great way to thank Drew Petrie for his service to our football club. Kicking that clutch goal in the last is what we needed. Harvey was huge. Sammy G just keeps on running. Dal was smooth. Ben big not only inside but kicked some nice ball on the outside and it would be remiss of me not to mention Spud, Atley and Grima. Spud especially has responded in a way this year that thrills me to no end.

Go North!

Also great for the Victorians who made the trip over!:) Got over Good Friday and heading back tomorrow after a week in a campervan down margaret river. Great way to finish an awesome holiday. Brilliant victory and atmosphere after the game.
You are the king of the road!

I lived in WA in 2009/10 and can echo the sentiments of many here. It's hard being a Roos fan at Patersons when the local side is on top. One of my many happy thoughts after LTs sealer was how much the WA fans would enjoy it.

They really made some noise, too, and it was great to hear. SO happy for them also. I'm sure they're all still on a high, as I am. :)

Needs to be dropped to regain some form - cannot take a mark to save himself.

I don't care if we don't have another forward to play he just cannot take a mark. Must have been close to 10 times today he got both hands to the ball and didn't mark.

Perhaps leave Tippett, Narni and Thompson in the backline and swing Lachie forward.

Drew cost us big time when we needed someone to stand up and he just didn't.

There can be only one...
He was shit today and will continue to be shit but will have the odd good game which will have the natives roll out the usual 'I believed' bullshit.

We are a middle of the road team with middle of the road mindset and middle of the road standards, we wont go forward until that attitude changes.

Don't like to kick a good bloke while he is down but they are professional footballers and we are here to win a flag and to do that we need consistency of effort and consistency of performance. The effort was there, the performance was not.

Play JZ Forward. he is out of touch but you know he will present....
Hansen is the swing man but he is too good in deference to waste forward.....
Gee we need to trade for a KPF....

Classic case of why having a full forward as a skipper is a liability. After the first three goals we needed a strong presence in the guts. Instead we had Drew sitting in the goal square.

Fair enough captaincy is just a label, but it makes a difference if your leader is in the trenches doing battle when you need them the most.
