C'mon Tas. Your desire to see Petrie dropped is clouding your judgement. Daw too often today either attempted to mark one handed or simply got under it. You can't blame Petrie for that. :stern look
Daw did run under some of the balls, he has to adapt to AFL footy which is worse skills than VFL footy, for Werribee he can go out on a hard lead and expect an amateur footballer to just stick the ball out in front of him and give him a chance to run onto it. If the kick is good it is impossible for the forward to run under it, because he is going flat out, which is what you need to happen to give the defender a hard chance to spoil legitimately.
He has to get used to the NMFC hang-time kicks, even if he was Sandilands most of the kicks would sail way over his head. His best mark was a contested mark that was aimed about a meter over Black's head.
